Message concerning the Grievance of Purveyance.
Afterwards they delivered a Message, That they have dutifully considered of that which was spoken in the late Conference, touching Purveyance; and that, within Three or Four Days, they will send up the Articles, which, at that Time of Conference between the Committees, were shewed, and read; and willingly give a new Meeting for Conference, when the Lords shall think good.
Answer.
Answer made, That whereas Respite of Three or Four Days was required, the Lords desired that some more Speed might be used, for Delivery of the Articles, and Proceeding in that Matter; because, the Complaint being of great Grievances of the People, the Lords were willing the more speedily to consider both of those Articles, and, in generality, touching the whole Matter of Purveyance, the sooner to procure Remedy.
