Prayers.

Privilege.

ORDERED, That it be referred to Mr. Speaker to examine the Matter of Breach of Privilege, objected to be committed by Benjamin Man, in causing William and Richard Gilbert, Servants to Mr. Norden, to be arrested and imprisoned at the Suit of Mr. Hawles; and to give Order for their Discharge: And that all Proceedings against them be staid during the Session of Parliament.

Supply Bill.

Ordered, That the House do positively proceed, at Ten of the Clock, on the Bill of Assessment; and will resolve into a Committee of the whole House for that Purpose.

Stanley's Estate.

A Bill to enable Sir Charles Stanley to make Leases of Lands for the Payment of Debts, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Lord Ancram, Mr. Mountague, Colonel Gilby, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Thom. Allen, Sir John Talboot, Mr. Hungerford, Sir Thom. Higgons, Sir Solom. Swale, Mr. Buscawen, Doctor Arris, Sir Fran. Clarke, Mr. Westphaling, Mr. Morice, Lord Herbert, Sir Edw. Wallpoole, Sir Roger Bradshaigh, Colonel Kirkby, Mr. Pepis, Mr. Hobby, Mr. Waller, Sir Thom. Gower, Sir Richard Temple, Sir Edw. Masters, Mr. Taylor, Mr. Dalmahoy, Sir Thom. Clergis, Mr. Rous, Colonel Whitley, and all the Members that serve for the County of Lincolne: And they are to meet at Two of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Lords reminded of Business.

Ordered, That the Message be sent up to the Lords, by Sir Edw. Wallpoole, to put them in mind of the Business of the Patent of the Canary Company, and the Impeachment against the Lord Mordant; and to desire them to take those Matters into Consideration.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Justinian Lewen and Sir Moundeford Brampston;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you down a Bill, intituled, An Act for the Ascertaining the Bounds of the several Rectories of Swaffham Saint Cyriac, and of Swaffham Saint Mary's, within the Town of Swaffham Prior in the County of Cambridge, and for the Uniting of the Two Churches there: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House: And they have returned you Mr. Mildmay's Bill, with one Amendment.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed on the Bill of Assessment.

Mr. Steward took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Steward reports, That the Committee of the whole House had made a great Progress in the Bill of Assessment for his Majesty's Supply; and humbly moved, That the House would appoint a Committee to ascertain the Quarterly Times of Payments in the said Bill, and to make them cohere with the Bill.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Fran. Clarke, Sir Thom. Littleton, Sir Robert Holt, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Steward, Sir Charles Harbord, or any Three of them, to prepare a Clause to ascertain the Two First Months and Quarterly Payments in the Bill of Assessment, and to make the same to cohere with the Bill.

Hilton's Charities.

Ordered, That Sir Thomas Littleton and Sir Hen. Capell be added to Mr. Hilton's Bill for charitable Uses.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees depending be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Three of the Clock, in the Places formerly appointed.

Business deferred.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill and Report, appointed to be read and made this Morning, be read and made Tomorrow Morning.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
