Davies' Petition.

A PETITION of William and Thomas Davies was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Petition be referred to the same Committee to which the Bill for Sale of Goring House was committed; to examine the Matter of the Petition; and report it, with their Opinions, to the House.

Lord Strangford's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for enabling a Sale of Lands for Payment of the Lord Strangford's Debts, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An additional Act for enabling a Sale of Lands to pay the Lord Strang ford's Debts: And Mr. Hardes is to carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Publick Accompts.

Mr. Seymour reports from the Committee to which the Bill for taking the Accompts of publick Monies was committed, some Amendments, agreed by the Committee, to be made to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence; and delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Which, being twice read, were, with some Alterations, upon the Question, agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Poll Bill.

The House then resumed the further Consideration of the Poll Bill.

And the several Lists of the Names of additional Commissioners were twice read; and agreed to.

A Proviso, touching One Peny in the Pound only . . be allowed for Receipts and Disbursements of publick Monies, was twice read.

Resolved, &c. That the Proviso be agreed to; and made Part of the Bill.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the several Amendments and Additions agreed to, be ingrossed,

Canary Patent.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Thomas Estcourt and Sir Moundeford Brampston;

Mr. Speaker, The House of Peers have considered of your Votes complaining of the Patent granted to the Canary Company; which being not delivered at a Conference, with your Reasons, nor in the usual Manner of Complaints in Parliament, their Lordships have proceeded no further therein.

Poll Bill.

Ordered, That Mr. Serjeant Mainard, Mr. Steward, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Thomas Meres, Mr. Pryn, and Mr. Mallet, or any Two of them, be appointed to examine the Poll Bill, with the Amendments; and to see that it do cohere, and be rightly ingrossed.

Canary Patent.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee to which the Consideration of the Patent of the Canary Company was committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Three of the Clock; and do prepare and draw up Reasons, to be given at a Conference with the Lords, upon the Matter concerning the Canary Company.

Irish Cattle.

Sir Robert Howard reports from the Committee appointed to prepare Reasons to be given at a Conference with the Lords, upon the Amendments sent down from the Lords to the Bill touching Irish Cattle, several Reasons, agreed by the Committee: Which he opened; and read in his Place.

And the same being, upon the Question, allowed by the House;

Resolved, &c. That a Conference be desired with the Lords, upon the Amendments sent down from them to the Bill concerning Irish Cattle: And Sir Robert Carr is to desire the Conference.

Duty on Sealed Paper.

Mr. Spry reports from the Committee to which it was referred to bring in an Estimate, What the Imposition on sealed Paper and Parchment might amount to, and to prepare and bring in a Bill for assessing and collecting that Duty, That the Committee had agreed an Estimate; and prepared a Bill, according to the Direction and Order of the House: Which Estimate he read in his Place; and opened the Bill; and after, delivered both in at the Clerk's Table.

The Question being put, That the Estimate reported from the Committee be now read;
