Leave of Absence.

ORDERED, That Mr. Stanhope have the Leave of the House to go into the Country.

Fire of London Judicature.

A Bill for erecting a Judicature to determine Causes between Landlord and Tenant, touching Houses burnt down by the late Fire, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time on Tuesday next.

Defaulters at Call of the House.

Ordered, That such Members as made Default in attending, be called over on Friday next.

Poll Bill.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, upon the Poll Bill, for his Majesty's Supply.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Steward took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Steward reports, That the Committee had made some further Progress in the Poll Bill: And humbly moved, That the House would meet this Afternoon; and resolve into a Committee again; and proceed upon the said Bill: And that the House would appoint a Committee to meet in the Interim, to consider of the Clause in the Poll Bill, Fol. 13, for ascertaining and determining the Rates, and the Appeals and Alterations thereupon; and for Return of Duplicates, and Payment in of the Monies into the Exchequer, by Times limited; and to prepare and fit the same upon the Debate at the Committee; and also to prepare a Clause to be added to the Bill, for making the Monies payable upon this Act, a present Credit to his Majesty, in the same Manner and Form according to that in the Act of Assessment made at Oxford.

Resolved, &c. That the House do sit this Afternoon; and will resolve into a Committee upon the Poll Bill.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to Mr. Steward, Sir Thom. Littleton, Mr. Garraway, Sir Thom. Meres, Sir Thom. Lee, Sir Anthony Irby, Sir Wm. Coventry, Mr. Coleman, Sir Charles Harbord, Sir Phill. Warwicke, Sir Edm. Wallpoole, Sir Geo. Downing, Colonel Strangwaies, or any Three of them, to consider of the Clause in the Poll Bill, Fol 13, for ascertaining and determining the Rates, and the Appeals and Alterations thereupon; and for Return of Duplicates, and Payment in of the Monies into the Exchequer, by Times limited; and to prepare and fit the same upon the Debate had at the Committee of the whole House: And the said Committee are further impowered to prepare and bring in a Clause, to be made Part of the Bill, for making the Monies payable upon this Bill, a present Credit to his Majesty, in the same Manner and Form according to that in the Act of Assessment made at Oxford: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Burying in Woolen.

A BILL for the Burying of Persons in Woolen only, being tendered;

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be now read.

Which was accordingly read the First time.

Importing Cattle, &c.

Ordered, That the Committee to which the Proviso from the Lords to the Bill concerning Foreign Cattle is committed, be revived; and do sit on Monday Morning, Seven of the Clock, in the Place formerly appointed.

Mr. Steward reports, That the Committee of the whole House had made some further Progress in the Poll Bill: And humbly moved, That the House would resolve into a Committee of the whole House on Monday Morning, Ten of the Clock, to proceed in the Dispatch thereof.

Resolved, &c. That the House be resolved into a Committee of the whole House on Monday Morning, Ten of the Clock, to proceed in the further Consideration of the Poll Bill for his Majesty's Supply.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Eight of the Clock.
