Prayers.

THIS Day Lewis Blanquefort took the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, at the Speaker's Table, in order to his Naturalization.

Blanquefort's Nat.

A Bill for Naturalizing of Lewis Blanquefort, and others, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Wm. Coventry, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Allen Apsley, Sir Robert Atkins, Sir Wm. Lowther, Mr. Philip Howard, Sir Tho. Gower, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Jay, Sir Solomon Swale, Sir Lan. Lake, Lord Fitzharding, Mr. Crowch, Colonel Progers, Sir Row. Berkeley, Sir Jo. Birkenhead, Lord Gorge, Sir Hen. North, Colonel Wyndham, Sir Rich. Maleverer, Mr. Pitt, Colonel Reames, Sir Nich. Steward: And they are to meet in the Natural Philosophy School at Two of the Clock this Afternoon: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Ordered, That the Name of Monsieur Devick be inserted into the Bill of Naturalization.

Prize Goods.

A Bill to prevent the Imbezzling of Prize Goods was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Uniting Churches.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for uniting Churches in Cities and Towns Corporate, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time To-morrow Morning.

Distresses for Rent.

A Bill sent from the Lords, for a more speedy and effectual Proceeding upon Distresses and Avowries for Rents, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Supply.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed on the Bill for granting the Sum of Twelve hundred and Fifty thousand Pounds to his Majesty, for his present further Supply.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Robert Atkins took the Chair.

Sir Robert Atkins reports, That the Sub Committee appointed to make a Distribution of the Tax on the several Counties, had made a good Progress in it; and were withdrawn, to perfect their Report.

St. Mawes Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue out his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a Writ, for Election of a Burgess to serve for the Borough of St. Mawes in the County of Cornewall, in the room of Sir Rich. Vivian, deceased.

Foreign Cattle, &c.

A Bill to prevent the Importation of Foreign Cattle and Fish, was read the First time.

The Question being put, That the Bill be read a Second time To-morrow Morning;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

And so it was resolved in the Affirmative; That the Bill be read a Second time To-morrow Morning.

Leave or Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Wm. Batten have Leave to repair from hence to Greenwich, to attend his Majesty's Service there.

Supply Bill.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the further Consideration of the Bill for granting the Sum of Twelve hundred and Fifty thousand Pounds to his Majesty, for his present further Supply.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Rob. Atkins took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker again took the Chair.

Sir Robert Atkins reports, That the Committee had made some further Progress in the Bill; and desired Leave of the House, that they might sit again Tomorrow Morning at Nine of the Clock.

Resolved, &c. That this House will resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, To-morrow Morning at Nine of the Clock, to proceed in the further Consideration of the Bill for granting the Sum of Twelve hundred and Fifty thousand Pounds to his Majesty, for his present further Supply: And that no other Business do intervene after that Time.

Hemp and Flax.

Resolved, &c. That Sir Tho. Allen, Sir Tho. Gower, Sir Wm. Haward, and Mr. Jolliff, Mr. Dowdswell, Mr. Daniell, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill for the better Encouragement of the Planting and Sowing of Hemp and Flax is committed.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
