Mollins' Estate.

A BILL to enable the Heirs of Michaell Mollins Esquire to redeem a Mortgage, and to relieve him against a Release, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Sir Cha. Harbord, Mr. Hungerford, Sir Edm. Peirce, Sir Tho. Allen, Mr. John Vaughan, Sir Wm. Lowther, Mr. Hardes, Sir John Coryton, Mr. Cornewall, Sir John Holland, Sir Tho. Gower, Colonel Sandys, Sir Rich. Francklyn, Sir Tho. Lee, Mr. Crouch, Sir Tho. Tompkins, Mr. Morrice, Mr. Wynn, Mr. Dowdeswell, Sir Tho. Clifford, Mr. Hide, Sir Solo. Swale, Mr. York, Sir Hump. Winch, Mr. Geo. Clerke, Sir Rowland Berkley, Mr. Hobby, Sir Hen. Herbert, and all the Gentlemen of the House that are of the Long Robe; and all the Members of this House that serve for the County of Berkes: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And to give the Parties concerned convenient Notice to come in, and be heard.

Woolen Cloths.

A Bill to explain several Statutes that prohibit the Transportation of white woolen Cloths, was read.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time, on Wednesday Morning next.

Privilege.

Ordered, That Thomas Powell, an Attorney, near Ludlow in the County of Salop, be sent for in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy; to answer his Breach of Privilege, in beginning and prosecuting a Suit against Humphry Cornewall Esquire, a Member of this House, at the Suit of * Cornewall; whereby the said Mr. Humphry Cornewall hath been hindered from attending the Service of this House.

Avon Navigation.

An ingrossed Bill for making the River of Avon navigable from New Sarum to Christ Church, was read.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for making the River Avon navigable from Christ Church to the City of New Sarum.

And the Lord Cornebury is to carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Navigable Rivers.

Ordered, That the Bill sent from the Lords, for making divers Rivers navigable, or otherwise passable for Boats, Barges, and other Vessels, be read on Tuesday Morning.

Debtors Relief.

Ordered, That the Bill for Relief of poor Prisoners be read the First time on Tuesday Morning.

Navy Debt.

Sir Richard Ford reports from the Committee to which the Petition of several Merchants, Tradesmen, Artificers, Victuallers, and others, was committed, That, in pursuance of an Order of this honourable House, of the Fourteenth of this Instant, whereby the said Petition is referred to the said Committee, to examine the Matter of the said Petition, and the Nature of the Debt, Whether it was a Debt adjudged to be satisfied within the Time limited by Act of Parliament; and to report the same, with their Opinions therein, to the House; the said Committee do humbly certify, That, having called before them Two of the sworn Auditors appointed by the said Act, for stating the Accompts of the Navy, they have received from them several Certificates, under their Hands, whereby it appears, that they have stated several of the Accompts of the Petitioners: And that there is due, unto the Persons therein named, the several Sums of Money hereunder-mentioned; viz.

Upon Consideration whereof had;

Resolved, That it be reported to the House, as the Opinion of this Committee, That the Debts in the Petition contained, and before particularly mentioned to be stated and certified, are of the Nature and Quality of the Debts comprehended within the Act of Parliament passed in the Year 1660, for discharging of the Debts of the Army and Navy; and accrued, and became due, within the Times limited by the said Act; and ought, in Honour and Justice, to be satisfied.

Resolved, That the House doth agree with the Committee, That the Debts in the Petition contained, and before particularly mentioned to be stated and certified, are of the Nature and Quality of the Debts comprehended within the Act of Parliament passed in the Year 1660, for discharge of the Debts of the Army and Navy; and accrued, and became due, within the Times limited by the said Act; and ought, in Honour and Justice, to be satisfied.

Resolved, That the further Consideration of this Report be adjourned till Wednesday Morning next.

St. James Parish.

Ordered, That Sir John Bennett, and Sir Robert Carr, be added to the Committee to which the Bill for erecting a Church in St. James in the Fields is committed.

Assessment Commissioners.

The House then proceeded to the Reading of the Lists of Commissioners to be inserted into the Bill for his Majesty's Supply.

The List of Commissioners Names for Northumberland, and the Towns of Newcastle and Barwick, were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed.

The Question being put, That Thomas Clayton be added to the Commissioners for Oxfordshire;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, That Dr. Jenkins be added to the Commissioners for Oxfordshire;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, That Dr. Hide be added to the Commissioners for Oxfordshire;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, That Dr. Thomas Willis be added to the Commissioners for Oxfordshire;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

And the several Names of the several Persons being inserted;

Resolved, That the List of Commissioners for the County of Oxford, with the Additions of the said Persons, be agreed.

A List of Commissioners for the University and City of Oxon was twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed.

The Lists of Commissioners for the several Counties of Rutland, Salop, Stafford, City of Litchfeild, Somersett, City of Bristoll, Southampton, Suffolk, Surrey, Southwark, Sussex, Warwick, Worcester, City of Worcester, Wilts, Westmorland, York, Anglesey, Brecon, Cardigan, Carmarthen, Carnarvon, Denbigh, Flint, Glamorgan, Merioneth, Montgomery, Pembrook, and Radnor, were twice read; and, with some Additions, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

The House adjourned till Two of the Clock.

Supply Bill.

THE County of Cambridge, and the Isle of Ely, being to be assessed severally by the Vote of the House; and the Proportion of each Place being agreed; and tendered to the House;

Resolved, That the Blank for the Isle of Ely be filled up with the Sum of Three hundred Forty-nine Pounds Seventeen Shillings and Eleven-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Cambridge be filled up with the Sum of One thousand and Twenty Pounds.

Resolved, &c. That the several Blanks for the Quarterly Payments be filled up with the Sum of Two hundred Six thousand Four hundred and Fifty-eight Pounds.

A Proviso was tendered to be added, on the Behalf of the County of Salop; and twice read.

The Question being put, That this Proviso be made Part of the Bill;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Another Proviso, on the Behalf of the County of Suffolk, as to certain Lands lying in Thetford, was twice read.

The Question being put, That it be made Part of the Bill;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, That Candles be brought in;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

And so it passed in the Negative.
