Car's Estate.

A BILL for the settling the Estate of Sir Robert Car Baronet was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Lord Fitzharding, Sir John Birkenhead, Sir John Rouse, Secretary Bennett, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Sir William Lowther, Lord Richardson, Sir John Bennett, Sir Henry Wood, Sir William Doyley, Sir John Goodrick, Mr. Jones, Sir John Talbott, Sir Edmond Pooley, Major Walden, Sir Fra. Goodrick, Mr. Orme, Sir Phill. Warwick, Sir Adrain Scroope, Mr. Williams, Sir Robert Holt, Sir Richard Ford, Mr. Treasurer, Sir Solo. Swale, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir Tho. Gower, Sir Cha. Bridlington Pier.

A Bill for the Repairing and Maintaining of the Pier of Bridlington, in the County of Yorke, was read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time on Saturday next.

Retailers of Wines.

The House did then resume the Debate of the Report from the Committee to which the Petition of several Persons, who have Letters Patents for selling Wine by Retale, was committed.

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee, That Forty Shillings a Tun Spanish, and Twenty Shillings French, be imposed as an additional Duty on Wines imported, to be in lieu of a Revenue to his Royal Highness for selling of Wine Licences;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, &c. That the Petition of the several Persons who have Letters Patents for selling of Wine by Retale, be laid aside.

Ld. Strangford's Estate.

Ordered, That the Bill, sent from the Lords, to enable Trustees to sell Lands for Payment of the Debts of the Lord Strangford, be read the first Bill To-morrow Morning.

Supply Bill.

The House then proceeded on the Bill for his Majesty's Supply, and agreed several Sums for filling up the Blanks for the several Counties, as followeth; viz.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Monmouth be filled up with the Sum of Three hundred Ninety Pounds.

Resolved, That the County of Northampton be filled up with the Sum of Fourteen hundred Thirteen Pounds Eighteen Shillings and Two-pence.

Resolved, That the County of Nottingham, with the Town and County of Nottingham, be filled up with the Sum of Eight hundred Seventy-three Pounds Eight Shillings.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Norfolke be filled up with the Sum of Three thousand Three hundred Seventy Pounds Twelve Shillings.

Resolved, That the Blank for the City and County of Norwich be filled up with the Sum of One hundred Eighty Pounds.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Northumberland, with the Town of Newcastle and Berwick upon Tweed, be filled up with the Sum of Three hundred Seventy-two Pounds Fifteen Shillings and Eight-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Oxon be filled up with the Sum of Eleven hundred Thirty-five Pounds Ten Shillings and Eight-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Rutland be filled up with the Sum of Two hundred Forty Pounds Eight Shillings and Eleven-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Salop be filled up with the Sum of Twelve hundred Three Pounds Fourteen Shillings and Two-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Stafford be filled up with the Sum of Eight hundred Fifty-two Pounds Eleven Shillings and Eight-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the City and County of Litchfeild be filled up with the Sum of Thirteen Pounds.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Somersett be filled up with the Sum of Two thousand Seven hundred Seventy-one Pounds Ten Shillings and Eightpence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the City and County of Bristow be filled up with the Sum of One hundred Ninety-nine Pounds Eight Shillings and Four-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Southampton, Town of Southampton, and Isle of Wight, be filled up with the Sum of Two thousand One hundred Eighty-nine Pounds Eight Shillings and Eight-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Suffolk be filled up with the Sum of Three thousand Two hundred Ninety-eight Pounds Ten Shillings and Eight-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Surrey be filled up with the Sum * * * * *.

Resolved, That the Blank for the Borough of Southwarke be filled up with the Sum of Fifteen hundred Ninety-seven Pounds and Two-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Sussex be filled up with the Sum of Eighteen hundred Twentyone Pounds Seven Shillings and Nine-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Warwick with the City and County of Coventry, be filled up with the Sum of Eleven hundred Ninety-two Pounds Eight Shillings and Nine-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Worcester be filled up with the Sum of Ten hundred Fifty-three Pounds Nineteen Shillings.

Resolved, That the Blank for the City and County of the City of Worcester be filled up with the Sum of Fiftyfive Pounds Nine Shillings and Six pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Wilts be be filled up with the Sum of Nineteen hundred Sixty-six Pounds Seventeen Shillings and Seven-pence.

Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Westmorland be filled up with the Sum of One hundred Sixteen Pounds.

The Medium of North and South Wales, formerly brought in, being twice read;

Resolved, That the Medium returned in for North Wales be agreed.

The House being informed, That each County of South Wales (except the County of Cardigan) was eased by the Medium Eighty Pounds per mensem, besides a Surplus of so much more as would, in the Whole, amount to above One hundred Pounds per mensem Ease to the said several Counties; and that the County of Cardigan was much over-rated;

Resolved, That the Surplus of Ease over-and-above Eighty Pounds per mensem, allowed by the Medium to the Five other Counties of South Wales, shall be given for the Ease of the County of Cardigan: And that the Sum, which such Surplus doth amount to, shall be deducted from the Medium of Cardigan; and charged upon the several Mediums of the other Five Counties.

And it is referred to Mr. Scawen to proportion the same accordingly.

The House then proceeded to the Reading of the Lists of Commissioners Names to be inserted into the Bill for his Majesty's Supply.

And the several Lists of Bedford, Berks, Bucks, Cambridge, Chester, Cornewall, Cumberland, Derby, Devon, City of Exeter, Dorsett, Poole, Durham, Essex, were twice read; and, with some Alterations and Additions of Names, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Mr. Scawen reports, That he had, according to the Order of the House, cast up a new Medium for the Six Counties of South Wales: Which he delivered in at the Clerk's Table.

Damage Cleer.

Resolved, That the Committee to whom the Bill for Damage Cleer is committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Place formerly appointed.

Juck's Estate.

Ordered, That Major General Langherne, Mr. Henley, and Mr. Samuell Sandys, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill to enable Mr. Jucks to sell Lands for Payment of Debts, is committed.
