Burlington Pier.
A PETITION of the Inhabitants of Burkington in the County of Yorke, was read.
Ordered, That Leave be given for bringing in a Bill for the Repairing and Maintaining of Burlington Pier.
Bricks and Tiles.
A Bill for the true Making of Brick and Tile was read.
The Question being put, That the Bill be read a Second time;
It passed in the Negative.
Election Writs.
The House being informed, That some Writs, heretofore issued for electing new Members to serve in Parliament, have miscarried;
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do attend the Lord High Chancellor of England, and desire him, that he would be pleased to give Order, That, when any Writs for electing new Members are sealed, the same be delivered to the proper Officer for executing such Writs; or, in case he be not in Town, then to one of the Knights that serve for the County into which the Writ shall issue.
Poor Relief.
A Bill to supply Defects, and to enlarge a former Act for the better Relief of the Poor, was read the Second time.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Robert Atkins, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Morrice, Sir Clifford Clifton, Sir Tho. Allan, Sir Hump. Winch, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Tho. Bill miscarried.
The House being informed, That the Bill for taking away Damage Cleere was miscarried, and not to be found;
Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee to which the Bill for taking away Damage Cleere was committed, to inquire how the said Bill came to be miscarried: And that a Copy of the said Bill be read Tomorrow Morning.

The House did then resume the Debate touching the Five hundred Pounds Ease given to the City of London.
The Question being put, That the Sum of Five hundred Pounds per mensem be abated to the City of London, over and above the One hundred Pounds per mensem already abated unto them, out of the Forty thousand Pounds;

Resolved, &c. That the Sum of Two hundred Fifty Pounds, Part of the Five hundred Pounds taken off from the City of London, be added to the Medium of the County of Middlesex and Westminster, without Offices.
Resolved, That One hundred Twenty-five Pounds, Part of the remaining Sum of Two hundred and Fifty Pounds, be added to the Medium of the City of London, in respect of Offices.
Resolved, &c. That One hundred Twenty-five Pounds, other Part of the remaining Sum of Two hundred and Fifty Pounds, be added to the Medium of the County of Middlesex and Westminster, in respect of Offices.
Resolved, That the Blank for the City of London, with St. Martin's le Grand, be filled up with the Sum of Five thousand Ninety-one Pounds Eleven Shillings and Four-pence.
Resolved, That the Blank for the County of Middlesex be filled up with the Sum of Two Thousand Two hundred Forty Pounds Ten Shillings.
Committees.
Ordered, That all Committees which were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned; and do sit To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Place formerly appointed.
