JAMES Taudin, and Henry Witham did, this Day, take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, before Mr. Speaker, at the Clerk's Table, in order to their Naturalization.

A Bill for Naturalization of Dederic alias Richard Comes, and others, was this Day read the Second time.

Hallage Duty.

Ordered, That the Bill for regulating the Duty of Hallage be read To-morrow Morning.

Supply.

Mr. Vaughan reports from the Committee to which it was referred to take into Consideration the Rates of the Four hundred thousand Pounds Subsidy, the several Ship Rates, That of the Twelve hundred Sixty thousand Pounds, and That of the Four last Subsidies, and what other Rates they thought fit; and to report them to the House, with the Proportions of them upon the several Counties; That the Committee had proceeded to take an Account of the several Rates of the Four hundred thousand Pounds Subsidy, the Ship Rate, the Twelve hundred Sixty thousand Pounds Tax, and the Rate by Subsidy, according to the Direction of the Order; and had returned in an Estimate, in Writing, as perfect as they could collect in so short a time: And delivered in the several Papers, agreed by the Committee, at the Clerk's Table.

Resolved, &c. That it be re-committed to the former Committee, to make an Abstract and Estimate of the Rates of the Four hundred thousand Pounds Subsidy, the several Ship Rates, That of the Twelve hundred Sixty thousand Pounds, and that of the Four last Subsidies, returned in from the Committee; And the Committee are revived; and to meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Exchequer Chamber: And it is recommended to Mr. John Vaughan, and Sir John Knight, to expedite the Business.

Courts of Justice.

Ordered, That it be referred to Mr. Dowdswell, Sir John Goodrick, Mr. Garway, Mr. Vaughan, Serjeant Charlton, Mr. Pryn, Mr. Steward, Sir Tho. Meres, Mr. Wm. Sandys, Mr. Pryn, Sir Robert Holt, Sir Fra. Goodrick, Serjeant Maynard, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Wm. Mountague, Mr. Thurland, Sir John Birkinhead, Sir Tho. Gower, or any Three of them, to consider the several Grievances in the Courts of Justice; and to bring in a Bill or Bills for regulating Abuses and Delays in the Execution of Justice, and for limiting the Exorbitancy of Fees.

Lancaster Poor.

Ordered, That it be referred to Mr. Rigby, Sir Fra. Goodrick, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Tho. Allen, and all the Gentlemen of this House that are of the Long Robe, or any Three of them, to take into Consideration the Act concerning the Poor in the County Palatine of Lancaster, or any other temporary Act; and to bring in Bills for Continuance of such as they shall find necessary.

Hunston's Estate.

A Bill to enable Thomas Hunston to sell Lands was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be read the Second time on Thursday next.
