Prayers.

The Chaplain.

THAT Mr. Henry Wotton (being a Person of Learning and Merit, and having, during this Session, constantly officiated as Chaplain to this House) be recommended to the King's Majesty, for some Ecclesiastical Dignity or Preferment.

And Mr. Secretary Morrice, Sir Charles Cottrell, Mr. Progers, and Sir John Birkenhead, are desired to attend his Majesty, from this House, with this their humble Address, on the Behalf of Mr. Wotton.

Ld. Byron's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for supplying the Loss of certain Evidences, in the Time of the late Troubles, belonging to the Estate of Richard Lord Byron, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Lindsey Level.

Sir John Birkenhead having made a Report concerning Lindsey Level; and that some of the Members appointed, by Order, to pen and prepare certain Clauses, and to adopt them with the Bill, that had met; were of Opinion, That the Bill, and Clauses directed, could not be made cohere;

And the Matter being debated;

Resolved, That these Persons following be added to the Members formerly appointed to prepare certain Clauses, and to insert and adopt them to the Bill concerning Lindsey Level, according to the Votes of this House; viz. Mr. Seymour, Mr. Vaughan, Colonel Reames, Mr. Rigby, Colonel Giles Strangwayes, Sir Robert Howard, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Swinfin, Colonel Williams, Sir Hen. Newton, Mr. Scawen, Sir Edm. Peirse, Sir George Downing, Mr. Morrice, Sir Anth. Cope, Sir John Holland, Mr. Pleydall, Sir Wm. Lowther, Colonel Windham, Sir John Birkenhead, Sir John Hotham, Mr. Mountague, Colonel Sandys, Sir Robert Atkins, Sir Robert Long, Lord Spencer, Sir Charles Cottrell, Mr. Coventry, Sir Wm. Doyley, Mr. Heath, Sir Tho. Meres, Sir Phillip Warwick, Mr. Whorwood; or any Five of them: And all the Members of this House, that shall come, are to have Voices at the Committee: And they are to meet at Two of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Privilege.

Upon Information that one Thomas Miles had caused a Declaration, in an Action of Ejectment to a casual Ejector, to be delivered to William Kerby, Tenant to Mr. Jay, a Member of this House; to try the Title of certain Lands, of which Mr. Jay is Owner; in Breach of the Privilege of this House;

Ordered, That all further Proceedings in the Suit be stayed, during the Session and Continuance of the Privilege of this present Parliament.

Privilege.

Resolved, That Sir Wm. Huddleston, and those which were assistant with him, viz. Richard Leece, John Bradshaw alias Brideson, Wm. Browne, Thomas Parkin, John Browne, William Jackson, Christopher Sharpe, Anthony Procter, and John Pickthall, be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms; for his Breach of Privilege, in entering by Force, and with-holding the Possession of the Park and Lands of Sir Jordan Crosland.

Hearth Money.

An additional Bill for the better regulating and collecting the Revenue arising by Hearths and Chimnies, was read the Second time.

The Question being put, That the Bill be committed;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

And so it passed in the Negative.

Wool and Leather.

Ordered, That Sir Thomas Meres, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Seymour, Mr. Morrice, Dr. Burwell, Mr. Hatton, Mr. Newport, Mr. Scawen, Mr. Jolly, Mr. Henley, and Colonel Progers, be added to the Committee to inspect the Act for Wool and Leather.

Clothiers.

Ordered, That the Report concerning the Clothiers be proceeded in To-morrow Morning.

And then the House adjourns till To-morrow Morning at Nine of the Clock.
