Prayers.

Carnarvon Sessions.

AN ingrossed Bill for keeping and holding the Courts of Great Sessions, and of the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace for the County of Carnarvon, at the Town of Carnarvon in the said County, for ever, was read . . . .

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for keeping and holding the Courts of the Great Sessions, and of the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace for the County of Carnarvon, at the Town of Carnarvon in the said County, for ever.

Ordered, That Mr. Griffith do carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Advancement of Trade.

Resolved, That Leave be given to bring in an Enacting Clause, to be added to the Bill for Advancement of Trade, for regulating the Fishing Trade; and limiting a seasonable Time for Shipping to set forth for Fishing; that the Spawn of Fish may be preserved, and Fish taken when it is full in Season; and also to provide, that a sworn Packer of Fish may be appointed in Yarmouth, and other Fishing Towns; and to set Penalties for Offences to be committed contrary to the Act.

Ashdowne Forest.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for the Improvement of the Forest of Ashdowne, and the Broyle Park, was read the Second time.

The Question being put, That the Bill be committed;

It passed in the Negative.

Marshalsea.

Ordered, That the Bill touching the Marshalsea be read the First Day of the Meeting of the House, after Whitsuntide.

Exeter Stuffs.

Ordered, That the Bill for the Reforming and Preventing of sundry Abuses and Deceits in the Making of Serges, Perpetuanoes, and other Stuffs, in the City and County of Exon, and County of Devon, be read the first Day of the Meeting of the House, after Whitsuntide.

Loyalist Officers.

Ordered, That the additional Bill for Explanation and Supply of the Act, touching the indigent loyal Officers, be read the First Day of the Meeting of the House, after Whitsuntide.

Excise.

An additional Bill for the better Regulating the Duty of Excise, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time, on To-morrow-sevennight.

Sir Charles Harbord reports from the Committee appointed to inspect the several Branches of his Majesty's Revenue, That the Committee had carefully inspected and examined the several Branches of the Revenue; and had commanded him to return a Report of the present Values of the several Branches of the Revenue: Which he opened in his Place; and after, delivered in his Report, in Writing, at the Clerk's Table: Which was as followeth;



		Present yearly Values.			Future full Values.
Customs.	The Customs letten to Farm, for Five Years, from Michaelmas 1662, at 390,000 l. per Annum; the King paying the Patent Fees to the Officers, and making such Defalcations as are agreed by the Grant	£.	s.	d.	£.	s.	d.

And, the Report being once read;

The several Heads concerning the Revenue arising by Customs, Crown Lands, and the Improvement of the Forest of Deane, were read the Second time: The same, having been formerly reported, and agreed to, were again agreed.

The next Head reported, concerning That Branch of the Revenue arising by Excise of Beer and Ale, which the Committee have returned, by their Report, at 274,950 l. Value per Annum, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree in Opinion with the Report of the Committee, as to That Branch of the Revenue arising by Excise.

The next Head reported, concerning That Branch of the Revenue arising by Chimney Money, was read the Second time; and debated.

The Question being put, That the present yearly Value of That Branch of the Revenue arising by Hearths and Stoves, as certified upon the Roll, and reported from the Committee, is 170,603 l. 12s.:

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, That the present Concurrence of this House with the Committee, to the Report by them returned, concerning the King's Revenue, shall not be conclusive to the Improvement of any Branch of his Majesty's Revenue for the future;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Resolved, &c. That the further Consideration of the rest of the Particulars reported, be adjourned till To-morrow Morning.
