Privilege.
UPON Information given to the House, That William George, an Officer of the Excise, had counterfeited the Hand of John George Esquire, a Member of this House, to a Protection, in Breach of the Privilege of this House.
Ordered, That the said William George be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy; to answer his Misdemeanor, and Breach of Privilege, in counterfeiting the Name of John George Esquire, a Member of this House, to a Protection.
Ditto.
Ordered, That William Vernon Esquire be sent for in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House or his Deputy, for his Breach of Privilege, in causing Actions of Ejectment to be brought against Edward Watson, Tenant to William Thompson Esquire, a Member of this House; and a Declaration, to be delivered to Mr. Thomson, to try the Title of certain Lands in the Possession of the said Mr. Thomson.
Coppleston's Estate.
An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for vesting certain Lands of John Coppleston in Sir Francis Vincent, and others, for Payment of his Debts, was read the Second time.

A Message from the Lords by Sir William Child and Sir Toby Woolrich;
Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you back a Bill, to impower Sir John Drake, and others, to make Sale of Lands, for Payment of the Portion of Ellen Briscoe Widow, with some Amendments: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House. And they have also commanded us to let you know, that they do concur with this House, to the Amendments made to the Bill to enable Edward Marquis of Worcester to receive the Benefit and Profit of a Water-commanding Engine, by him invented, one Tenth Part whereof is appropriated for the Benefit of the King's Majesty, his Heirs and Successors: And that they have agreed to these Bills sent up from this House: viz. The Bill for the Punishment of unlawful Cutting or Stealing, or Spoiling of Wood and Underwood, and Destroyers of young Timber Trees: The Bill for settling the charitable Gift of John Guest: And the Bill to enable Edward Challoner Esquire to make Provision for Anne his Wife, and his younger Children.
Crown Revenue.
Sir Charles Harbord reports from the Committee of his Majesty's Revenue, the Opinion of the Committee, That the House be moved to desire his Majesty, that no Grant be passed, or Contract made, of, or touching, the Post Office, until the Committee shall have inspected the same, and made Report thereof to the House, as well for the Improvement of the Revenue thereof, as for the better Management of that Office.
He also further reports, the Opinion of the Committee, That the House be moved to declare, that all such as shall offer most for the Improvement of any Branch of his Majesty's Revenue, they being duly qualified, shall be, by the House, recommended to the King, for the Farming of such respective Branch.
Which Votes he delivered in at the Clerk's Table: And being twice read;
Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, in the Particulars by them reported.
Ordered, That Mr. Secretary Bennet, Sir William Compton, Mr. Treasurer, and Mr. Vice Chamberlain, being of his Majesty's Privy Council, and Members of this House, do attend his Majesty; and acquaint him with the Votes before-mentioned; as also with the Votes of this House, for Messages to his Majesty, formerly passed; viz.
"That the King's Majesty be humbly moved, from the House, to take care for the Encouraging of the Vent of Woolen and other Manufactures of England into Scotland and Ireland: And that no Impositions be laid, or continued, in those Kingdoms, that may discourage the Vent of them."
"That the King's Majesty be humbly moved, from the House, to give Leave, that there be a constant free Exportation of Geldings: And that he would be pleased to recall his Proclamation that restrains their Exportation."
"That his Majesty be humbly desired, by the House, that no Consulship be continued, or hereafter granted, in any Place, but at the Desire of the respective Merchants trading to that Place; and at such Allowances and Charges only as the Merchants shall consent to give them."
