A Bill for Improvement of Wastes was this Day read.

Marq. of Winchester's Award.

A Petition of the Lord Edward Paulet was this Day read.

Resolved, &c. That this Petition be referred to the same Committee to which the Bill for confirming an Award, made by his Majesty, for settling the Differences between the Lord Marquis of Winchester, and the Lord St. John, was committed.

A Bill for enabling Merchants, and others, to assign Bills and Bonds, and to prevent Abuses in Shop Books and Contracts, was this Day read the First time.

Admiralty Jurisdiction.

The House did then resume the Debate upon the Bill for settling the Jurisdiction of the Admiralty.-

Writs of Error.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Thomas Bird and Sir Mundeford Brampston;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you down an ingrossed Bill, intituled, An Act for preventing of Abatements of Writs of Error, upon Judgments in the Exchequer: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House: And have commanded us to acquaint you, That they intend to adjourn on Tuesday next, till the Wednesday- fortnight following.-
