Prayers.

Restoring Wadeson.

ORDERED, That these Members following be added to the Committee to which the Bill for vesting Mr. Wadeson in the Office of Clerk of the Chamber of London was committed; viz. Sir Geo. Ryve, Captain Garraway, Sir Anthony Cope, Serjeant Charlton, Sir John Birkinhead, Mr. Cornwall, Lord Bruce, Mr. Cory, Sir Robert Holt, Sir Jeoffrey Shakerley, Major General Egerton, Mr. John Vaughan, Sir Wm. Smith, Serjeant Keeling, Sir Thomas Meres, Mr. Taylor.

Westminster Hall.

The House taking Notice, That the Roof of Westminster Hall is much out of Repair, so as the Passage through the Hall, in rainy Weather, is very bad; and that the Hall will, in a short time, fall to Decay, if the Roof be not repaired;

Ordered, That the Warden of the Fleet do, on Summons, attend this House, To-morrow Morning, to give an Account, whether he be not liable to take care for the keeping the said Hall in Repair.

Standon Roads.

A Bill to repair the Highways in Standon, and other Towns and Parishes in the Counties of Hertford and Cambridge, was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to the same Committee to which the Bill for repairing Watling-street Highway, was formerly committed: And all the Members of this House, that serve for the several Counties of Hertford, Huntington, Cambridge, Lincolne, Yorke, the Bishoprick of Durham, and County of Westmerland, are added to the Committee: And they are to meet Tomorrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Packington's Estate.

A Bill to enable Sir John Packington, and his Trustees, to sell, or otherwise dispose of, certain Lands, for the Payment of Debts, and raising Portions for younger Children, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be committed to Sir Tho. Tompkins, Colonel Sandis, Mr. York, Lord Fanshaw, Sir Cha. Berkley, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir Rich. Oatley, Sir Solomon Swale, Sir Hen. Guest's Charities.

Colonel Kirkby reports from the Committee to which the Bill for settling the charitable Uses of John Guest, was committed, several Amendments to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And the same, being twice read, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Pluralities.

Sir Charles Harbord reports from the Commitee to which the Bill against Pluralities of Benefices was committed, several Amendments, and a Proviso, to be added to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And the Amendments, being twice read, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Blank, as to the Distance of Miles, be filled up with the Word "Ten."

Resolved, &c. That the Clause concerning the Value of the Two Livings be omitted out of the Proviso.

Which was done accordingly.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments, be re-committed upon the present Debate concerning Curates: And they are to consider of the Consistency of the Proviso to this Bill, with those in the former Statutes: And Mr. Garway, Mr. Thurland, and all the Gentlemen of the Long Robe, are added to the said Committee: And they are to meet To-morrow in the Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And Mr. Thurland is to take especial Care thereof.

Ordered, That all the Gentlemen that are of the Long Robe, be added to the Committee to whom the Two Bills concerning Rogues and Vagabonds are committed.

Ministers Maintenance.

Resolved, &c. That the House, on Thursday next, will resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to take into Consideration the Bill for Increase and Maintenance of Ministers in Cities, Towns Corporate, and Market Towns.
