A BILL for naturalizing of Marke la Pla, and others, was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be committed to Lord Gorges, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Mr. Hungerford, Mr. Pleydall, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Cory, Sir Robert Atkyns, Mr. Culleford, Lord Fanshaw, Mr. Jones, Mr. George, Mr. Reames, Sir John Shaw, Serjeant Rainsford, Sir Rich. Everard, Sir Tho. Meres, Colonel Windham, Sir James Smith, Sir Edm. Pye, Sir Clifford Clifton, Sir John Coriton, Sir John Brampston, Sir Tho. Gower, Mr. Coventry, Mr. Croke, Sir Robert Holt, Mr. Rigby, Mr. Walden, Mr. Smith, Mr. Clifford, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Knight, Colonel Robinson, Sir Geo. Ryve, Mr. Milward, Sir Tho. Tompkins, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Sandys, and all the Members of this House that serve for the Counties of Lincolne, Cambridge, Huntington, Norfolke, and Suffolke: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Ordered, That the Names of Charles and George Bullen and John Gifford be, upon Payment of their Fees, inserted into the aforesaid Bill of Naturalizing.

Merchants Nat.

Ordered, That the Matter touching the Naturalizing of Merchants, be taken into Consideration on Friday next.

Boston Election.

Ordered, That the Matter touching the Election for the Town of Boston, between Sir Anthony Irby and Major Thory be heard To-morrow Morning.

College Leases, &c.

Sir Thomas Meres reports from the Committee to which the Bill for confirming an Act for Confirmation of Leases and Grants from Colleges and Hospitals, was committed, That the Committee saw no Cause to make any Amendment to the Body of the Bill; but they found it just to add several Provisoes: Which he read in his Place; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

And the First Proviso, being twice read; was, upon the Question, agreed to.

The Second Proviso was read the Second time; and, on the Question, agreed to.

The Third Proviso was read the Second time; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

The Fourth Proviso was read the Second time.

Resolved, That these Words, "or for Lives," be inserted after the Word "more:" And that the latter Part of the Proviso, from the Word "but," be omitted.

And the Proviso, so altered, was agreed to.

The Fifth Proviso was read the Second time.

Resolved, That these Words, "Saving nevertheless, and reserving to the said Thomas Snelgrave, such Estate as he had before the Surrender of his old Lease, and taking the new Lease, notwithstanding the Surrender of the former Lease," be inserted in that Proviso, after the Word "Snelgrave."

Which was done accordingly.

And the Proviso, so amended, was, upon the Question, agreed to.

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the Provisoes agreed to, be ingrossed.

Twiford Vicar.

Resolved, That the Case of the Vicar of Twiford be recommended to Dr. Lewis, Master of the Hospital of St. Crosse; to allow him a competent Maintenance, and use him well: And it is recommended to Mr. Bunkley, Mr. Hungerford, and Dr. Birkinhead, to acquaint the Doctor with the Desires of this House.

Militia.

The House then proceeded to the Reading of the rest of the Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill concerning the Militia.

The Amendment to the Fifteenth Line of the Fourth Skin, was read the Second time; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

The Amendment to the Seventeenth Line of the same Skin was read the Second time; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

The Amendment to the Eighteenth Line was read the Second time; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

The Amendment to the Twentieth Line being read the Second time;

Resolved, That the House, as to this Amendment, doth adhere to the Bill.

The Amendment to the Twenty-fourth Line was read the Second time; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

The Amendment to the Twenty-eighth Line was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the House, as to this Amendment, doth adhere to the Bill.

The Amendment to the Thirtieth Line was read the Second time.

The Question being put, To leave out the Words "and not otherwise;"

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, To agree to the Amendment so altered;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Amendment to the Thirty-fourth Line was read the Second time; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

The Amendment to the Thirty-sixth Line was read the Second time.

It passed in the Negative.

The Amendment to the Thirty-seventh Line was read the Second time.

Resolved, That as to this Amendment, this House doth agree to the Lords.

The Amendment to the Fifty-first Line was read the Second time; and the Word "Lords," upon the Question, left out.

The Amendment to the First Line of the Fifth Skin being read the Second time;
