Morley's Estate.
AN ingrossed Bill for settling the Lands of Cuthbert Morley in Lackenby, in Richard Barrett and others, was this Day read the Third time.
Resolved, That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for vesting, settling the Lands and Tenements of Cuthbert Morley in Lackenby, in Richard Barrett, Katharine Chute, and Arthur Ingram, their Heirs and Assigns, till they have received certain Monies due unto them.
Clarke's, &c. Estate.
Sir Francis Goodrick reports from the Committee to which the Bill for enabling Sir John Clarke to sell Lands to pay his Debts, was committed, certain Amendments to be made, and a Proviso to be added to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in the Bill; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: And the Amendments, being twice read, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.
The Proviso being read the Second time;
Resolved, That the said Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.
Ordered, That it be referred to Sir Francis Goodrick, Sir John Talbot, and Mr. Street, to peruse the Proviso, and to hear the Persons concerned; and to see that the Agreement therein mentioned be made to the Satisfaction of the Persons interested; and if they find it so, then the Proviso to be ingrossed: Or else they are to report to the House what they find fit to be done.
College Leases, &c.
Ordered, That the Report of the Bill which concerns College Leases, be heard To-morrow Morning.
Clithero Copyholders.
Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill concerning the Tenants of the Manor of Clithero, were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to; and afterwards, read the Third time.
Resolved, That the said Amendments agreed to, be inserted into the Bill.

Rannes Manor.
Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill concerning the Manor of Rannes, &c. were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to; and afterwards, read the Third time.

Navy and Ordnance Carriages.
Mr. William Coventry reports from the Committee to which the Bill for providing Carriages for his Majesty by Land and by Water, was committed, several Amendments to be made, and Two Provisoes to be added to the Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.
And the First Amendment to the last Line of the Second Sheet being twice read;
Resolved, That the Words "Guernsey and Jersey" be struck out of the Amendment.
Which was done accordingly.
Resolved, That the Amendment, so altered, be agreed to.
The rest of the Amendments, until the Amendment to the First Line of the Seventh Sheet, were all twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.
The Amendment to the First Line of the Seventh Sheet, being, to insert the Proviso marked with x, was read the Second time.
The Proviso was twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.
The next Amendment to the Ninth Line of the Seventh Sheet, being, to fill up the Blank with "Five Pounds," was read the Second time.
Resolved, That this Clause be inserted in, instead of "Five Pounds," viz. for every Abuse as to any Land Carriage the Sum of "Five Pounds," and for every Abuse in any Carriage, the Sum of "Ten Pounds."
The last Proviso, being to insert the Proviso marked O;
That Proviso was twice read.
Resolved, That these Words, "freighted by Charter Party, if there be other Vessels in the Port fitting for the Service, nor any Vessel Quarter," be inserted in this Proviso, after the Words "bona fide."
Which was done accordingly.
Resolved, That the Proviso, so amended, be agreed to.
Resolved, That the Words, in the Beginning of the Fifth Line of the Second Folio, beginning "which Act," unto the Word "Affairs," in the Third Line of the Preamble of the Bill, be left out.
Resolved, That the Preamble, as to that Part which recites the Act of the last Assembly to be an Act of Parliament, be amended, and made "An Act, intituled, An Act for taking away the Court of Wards and Liveries, and Tenures in Capite, and by Knights Service and Purveyance, and for settling a Revenue upon his Majesty in lieu thereof."
Which was done accordingly.
A Proviso, for the Act to be in Force till the End of the First Session of the next Parliament, was twice read.
Resolved, That the said Proviso be agreed to, and made Part of the Bill.
Call of the House.
Ordered, That the Calling over of the House be adjourned till This-day-sevennight: And that the House be then called over, under the former Penalties against such as shall make Default.
Ordered, That the House be adjourned to Two of the Clock; and do then proceed upon the Bill of the Militia.

The House interpose in a Quarrel.
UPON Information of a Difference, and a Mischief like to ensue, between the Lord Ossory and Mr. Phillip Howard, Two of the Members of this House;
Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House to take the said Persons into Custody; and detain them till further Order.
Committees.
Ordered, That all Committees, which were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned till To-morrow, Two of the Clock in the Afternoon; and do then sit.
Militia.
The House did then resume the Matter upon the rest of the Amendments to the Bill of the Militia, as to that Part of the Amendment to the Fourth and Fifth Line of the Fourth Skin, in relation to the Paragraph directed to be brought in to search all Houses for Arms by Force, where there shall be Resistance: Which Paragraph was as followeth; viz.
"And that in all Places and Houses whatsoever, where Search is to be made as aforesaid, it shall and may be lawful, in case of Resistance, to enter by Force."
Which Paragraph, being twice read; was, upon the Question, agreed to.
Resolved, That the said Paragraph be agreed to, and added after the Words "by Force," in the Amendment last agreed to.
The next and last Paragraph of that Amendment, as to the Searching the Houses of Peers, was read the Second time.
The Question being propounded, That these Words, "when he is there resident," shall be made Part of the Question;
The Question was put, Whether this Question shall be now put.
