Prayers.

Leather Trade.

AN ingrossed Bill to restrain the Exportation of Leather and raw Hides, out of the Realm of England, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, upon the Question, That these Words, "and the Contract for the Sale thereof shall be void," be inserted into the Bill, after the Words "Value thereof."

Which was done accordingly; and the Words thrice read; and agreed to.

The Question being put, That these Words, "except Ireland," be inserted, after the Word Kingdom;"

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

And the Words were inserted; and thrice read; and agreed to.

A Proviso, to make the Exportation of Leather, contrary to this Act, a common Nuisance, was twice read.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Proviso be agreed to, and made Part of the Bill.

Another Proviso, for carrying of Hides and Leather for the necessary Use of Shipping, was twice read.

Resolved, upon the Question, That these Words, "so as the Number do not exceed Six raw Hides, and Three tanned Hides," be inserted at the End of the Proviso.

Which being done; and the Proviso read the Third time;

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Proviso be agreed to, and made Part of the Bill.

Resolved, That these Words, "except Ireland," be inserted into the Bill.

Resolved, That the Word "Wares" be omitted; and these Words, "in Boots, Shoes, and Slippers," be inserted into the Bill.

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the Provisoes agreed to, do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act to restrain the Exportation of Leather and raw Hides, out of the Realm of England.

And Sir Richard Everard is to carry up this Bill to the Lords.

Bp. of London's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, to enable the Bishop of London to make Leases of the Tenements new built upon the Site of his Palace in London, together with the Amendments and Proviso agreed by this House to be made, and added thereto, were this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, upon the Question, That, in the First Amendment, the Word "Eighteen" be put in, instead of the Word "Twenty."

Which was done; and thrice read; and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Bill, with the Amendments so altered, and the Proviso, be agreed to: And that the Bill be sent back to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Court of Wards.

Resolved, That the Report of Sir Allen Brodrick, touching the Officers of the Court of Wards, shall be heard To-morrow Morning.

Uniformity of Worship.

The House then resumed the Debate upon the Amendments, sent down from the Lords, to the Bill of Uniformity: Which were begun to be read the Second time.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the First Amendment, as to the Title of the Bill, be postponed.

The Question being put, To agree with the Lords, as to the Amendment to the Compiling of the Book of Common Prayer by the Bishops, and the Act of primo Eliz. for enjoining it to be used;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The rest of the Amendments, unto the Amendment in the Twenty-fifth Line, were read the Second time; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

The Question being put, That the Paragraph of the Amendment, in relation to the Recital of the Progress of the Proceedings, till that Amendment which does concern the Book annexed to the Bill, be postponed;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

And so it passed in the Negative.

Resolved, upon the Question, That Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Knight, Mr. Crouch, Dr. Birkinhead, Lord Fanshaw Sir Edm. Peirse, Dr. Burwell, Sir Tho. Gower, and Mr. Waller, or any Six of them, be appointed a Committee, to compare the Books of Common Prayer, sent down from the Lords, with the Book sent up from this House; and to see whether they differ in any Thing besides the Amendments, sent from the Lords, and already read in this House; and wherein; and to make their Report therein, with all the Speed they can: And, for that Purpose, they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Bedford Level.

Ordered, That the Matter upon the Amendments to the Bill concerning the Great Level of the Fens, called Bedford Level, be taken into Consideration, and proceeded in, next after the Matter upon the Bill of Uniformity is finished; nothing to intervene.

Navigable Rivers.

Ordered, That the Committee to which the Bill for making Rivers navigable between London and Bristoll was committed, be revived; and to meet Friday next, at Two of the Clock, in the Afternoon.
