Prayers.

Privilege.

UPON Information, that one Richard Castle had, by one * Palmer his Attorney, brought an Action of Ejectment, and delivered a Declaration, to try the Title of certain Lands in the County of Pembrooke, in the Possession of Isaac Lloyd Esquire, a Member of this House; and hath distrained the Cattle of Mr. Lloyd, and his Tenants; in Breach of the Privilege of this House;

Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy, do apprehend the said Richard Castle, and take him into Custody; to answer the Breach of Privilege objected against him.

Bushell's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for Confirmation of Agreements made between Thomas Bushell Esquire, and the Miners of Row Pitts in Somersetshire, for recovering their drowned and deserted Works, was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be committed to Mr. Knight, Sir Hen. Newton, alias Puckering, Mr. Oakley, Serjeant Maynard, Mr. Clifford, Mr. Pryn, Mr. Vaughan, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir Robert Holt, Sir Rich. Temple, Colonel Windham, Sir Solomon Swale, Sir Robert Howard, Mr. Crouch, Sir Clifford Clifton, Colonel Reames, Mr. Wandesford, Colonel Robinson, Mr. Cornwallis, Sir Rich. Everard, Mr. Hungerford, Sir Edm. Pooley, Mr. Daniell, Mr. Ernley, Sir Bain Throckmorton, Mr. Smith, Sir Hen. Herbert, Sir John Rouse, Sir John Brampston, Sir Tho. Gower, Mr. Waldron, and all the Members of this House that serve for the County of Somerset: And they are to meet, in the Speaker's Chamber, To-morrow in the Afternoon, at Two of the Clock; and to hear the Interest of all Parties concerned: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Bankrupts.

Mr. Smith reports from the Committee to which the Bill, intituled, An Act declaratory concerning Bankrupts, was committed, several Amendments to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in the Bill; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

And the same being twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to;

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the said Amendments, be read the Third time.

Which being accordingly done;

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the said Bill, with the said Amendments; and the Title thereof.

And Mr. Smith is to return the same to the Lords.

Hessen's Nat.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for Naturalizing of Charlottee Hessen, Wife of Thomas Killigrew Esquire, Groom of his Majesty's Bed Chamber, and his Three Sons, and Katherine Hessen Wife of Sir John Sayers, and his Three Sons, was this Day read the Second time.

Ordered, That the said Bill be read the Third time To-morrow Morning.

Confirming Acts.

An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, for Confirming of Two Acts therein mentioned, was this Day read the Second time.

Ordered, That the said Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Highways.

Mr. Pryn reports from the Committee to which the Bill for repairing the Highways in general, was, by the Order of the Twelfth of this Month, re-committed, to prepare and bring certain Clauses and Provisoes to be added to the said Bill, according to the Instructions mentioned in the said Order, That the Committee had accordingly agreed upon Two Provisoes: Which he read, with the Coherence, in the Bill; and after delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

And the same being twice read;

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Word "several" be inserted in the First Proviso, after the Word "*," and before the Word "*."

Resolved, upon the Question, That these Words "and of such Grounds through which they shall pass," be inserted in the First Proviso, after the Word "thereof," and before the Word "*."

The Question being put, That the Time for raising Monies by virtue of the said Act be for Three Years;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, That the Time for raising Money, by virtue of the said Act, shall be limited to Two Years, from Our Lady Day 1662.

Ordered, That the Proviso following be inserted into the Bill; viz.

"Provided also, And be it further Enacted, That the Power of raising and levying Money, by virtue of this Act, shall continue in Force for Two Years only, from the Twenty-fifth of March 1662, and no longer: But that all the Powers and Clauses in the said Act shall continue, and stand in Force, until * * * *.

Resolved, That the Alterations and Amendments before mentioned be agreed to: And that the Bill, with the several Amendments, Provisoes, and Alterations, agreed to, be ingrossed.

Navigable Rivers.

Ordered, That the Bill for making Rivers navigable be read To-morrow Morning.

Ld. Campden's Estate.

Ordered, That all the Members of this House, that serve for the Counties of Lincolne, Leicester, Nottingham, and Northampton, be added to the Committee to which the Bill for the Lord Viscount Campden was committed.

Book of Common Prayer.

The Amendments in the Book of Common Prayer, and Administration of the Sacraments and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England, sent from the Lords; the Transcript of which Book, so amended, therewith sent, they desire to be added to the Bill of Uniformity, instead of the Book sent up therewith; was, in Part, read.

And then the House adjourned for Two Hours.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Amendments to the said Bill, with the Additions, sent by the Lords, be read the Second time, and proceeded in, To-morrow Morning at Nine of the Clock.
