Tindall's Estate.

SIR John Brampston reports from the Committee, to which the Bill for settling certain Lands of Francis Tindall Esquire was committed, That the Committee had carefully perused and considered of the Bill, and found no Defect or Cause of Alteration or Amendment therein.

Resolved, &c. That the said Bill be ingrossed.

Duke of Richmond's Estate.

Several Amendments to the ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for settling the Estate of James late Duke of Richmond and Lenos, according to Agreement of Charles Duke of Richmond and Lenos, Mary Duchess Dowager of Richmond and Lenos, and the Lady Mary her Daughter, were this Day twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

And the Bill, with the Amendments, being read the Third time;

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be sent up to the Lords; and their Concurrence desired to the said Amendments.

And Sir Solomon Swale is to carry the Bill, with the Amendments, up to the Lords.

Frauds in Excise.

A Bill for preventing Frauds and Abuses in the Excise, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Dover Pier.

Sir Edmond Peirse reports from the Committee, to which the Bill for Repair of Dover Harbour was committed, and re-committed, One Amendment only further to be made to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in the Bill; and after, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table. And the said Amendment being twice read;

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee, as to this Amendment;

The House was divided.
The Noes went forth.

And so it was resolved in the Affirmative.

Bankrupts.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Thomas Bird and Sir Toby Woolrich;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you down a Bill, intituled, An Act declaratory concerning Bankrupts; and desire your Concurrence thereunto.

Ordered, That this Bill be read on Monday next.

Dover Pier.

Resolved, That an Amendment be made to the said Bill for Repair of Dover Harbour, by omitting, after the Word "Parliament," in the Fifteenth Line of the Bill, all the Words to the Word "made," in the Sixteenth Line.

Resolved, &c. That the Words "and Portland Stone" be inserted, in the * Line of the Bill, after the Word "Grinstones."

Which was done accordingly.

A Proviso was tendered, on the Behalf of the Town of Lyme Regis.

The Question being put, That the said Proviso be read;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Bill, with the Amendments and Provisoes agreed to, be ingrossed;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Duty on Iron.

Mr. John Ashburneham reports from the Committee to which the Petition of several Persons, who now are, or formerly have been, experienced in making English Iron, That the Committee were of Opinion, and had ordered it to be so reported, That the whole Imposition upon all Foreign Iron, except Spanish, be Forty Shillings per Ton.

Resolved, &c. That the Debate of the Matter upon this Report shall be taken into Consideration on Monday Morning, at Ten of the Clock.

Trade.

Ordered, That the Report of Mr. Knight, from the Grand Committee of Trade, be heard upon Monday Morning next.

Highways.

Ordered, That the Business touching the Highways, be taken into Consideration on Monday next.

E. of Derby's Estate.

The House resumed the Hearing of the Cause upon the ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, to restore the Earl of Derby to the Manor of Hope and Hopesdale, and Mould and Mouldsdale, in the County of Flint.

And upon Debate of the Merits of the Cause, as to Fines and Recoveries, and the Frauds and Practices;

The Question being put, That this House do further proceed upon the said Bill, notwithstanding the Fines and Recoveries;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, That the Bill be re-committed to the Committee to which it was formerly committed;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, That the Committee be revived; and do sit this Afternoon, at the Place formerly appointed;
