Prayers.

Leather Trade.

ORDERED, That the Committee, to whom the Bill concerning Leather is committed, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Place formerly appointed: And Mr. Morris, Sir Richard Everard, Mr. Arthur Owen, Mr. Langherne, Mr. Bagnall, Sir Tho. Allen, Mr. Griffith, Mr. Lloyd, are added to the said Committee.

Captives at Algiers, &c.

Ordered, That Mr. Pryn be added to the Committee appointed for the Captives of Algiers.

Lee's Estate.

A Bill, enabling Sir Thomas Lee Baronet to exchange the Lands settled upon his Wife's Marriage, was this Day read the Second time.

Wells Key.

An ingrossed Bill for the repairing and better preserving the Key of the Port of Wells in the County of Norfolk, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for the repairing and better preserving the Key of the Port of Wells in the County of Norfolk.

Ferrers', &c. Nat.

An ingrossed Bill for Naturalizing of Anna Ferrers; and several other Persons named therein, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for Naturalizing of Anna Ferrers, and several other Persons named therein.

Enyons' Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for settling certain Manors and Lands, late of Sir James Enyons Baronet, on Sir Henry Puckering alias Newton Baronet, and Sir Charles Alderley Knight, his surviving Trustees, to sell, for Payment of his Debts, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for settling certain Manors and Lands, late of Sir James Enyon Baronet, on Sir Henry Puckering, alias Newton, Baronet, and Sir Charles Alderley Knight, his surviving Trustees, to sell, for Payment of his Debts.

Relief of Loyalists.

Upon Report, made by the Lord Bruce, from the Committee appointed to receive Proposals for the further Supply of such suffering Persons as had faithfully served his Majesty, or his Royal Father;

Ordered, That his Majesty be attended, and humbly moved to give Leave to this House, to name Commissioners to dispose and distribute the Threescore thousand Pounds, Part of the Eighteen Months Assessment intended for the Persons that have faithfully served his Majesty's Royal Father, or his Majesty, and that are in most Want: And the Lord Bruce, Mr. John Ashburnham, Colonel Legg, Colonel Arundell, Colonel Sam. Sandis, and Mr. Clifford, are to attend his Majesty, to receive his Pleasure herein.

Reports to be made.

Ordered, That all such Reports as are ready to be made, shall be heard on Monday next.

Derham's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill for confirming a Decree on the Behalf of Thomas Derham Esquire, and the Improvements, Exchanges, and Allotments therein mentioned, was this Day read the Third time.

A Proviso tendered, on the Behalf of Sir Ralph Hare, to be added to the said Bill, being Three times read;

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Proviso be agreed to, and made Part of the Bill.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Bill and Proviso, agreed to, do pass: and that the Title shall be, An Act for confirming a Decree on the Behalf of Thomas Derham Esquire, and the Improvements, Exchanges, and Allotments therein mentioned.

Norwich Walls, &c.

A Bill for the Raising of Monies in the City of Norwich, for Repairing of the Walls, and cleansing the River of the same, was this Day read the Second time.

Crown Revenue.

A Bill for the better Charging, Ordering, Bringing in, and Answering of the Revenues of the Crown, and reduceing the Receipt of it to the old Way of the Exchequer, read the First time.

Resolved, That this Bill be read the Second time on this Day Sevennight.

Privilege.

Upon Information, that the Earl of Ancram, a Member of this House, coming on Thursday Night out of London, was seized upon by one William Middleton, a Constable, and very rudely used; and that the said Middleton did utter many reproachful and scandalous Words against this House, and the Members thereof;

Resolved, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy, do apprehend the said Middleton, and bring him, in Custody, to the Bar of this House; to answer this Misdemeanor, and Breach of Privilege, objected against him.

Sheriffs.

Ordered, That the Lords be minded of the Bill for Sheriffs.

Hearth Tax.

The House resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to resume the Debate of the Bill for laying an Imposition upon Hearths and Stoves.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir John Brampston took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker again took the Chair: And

Sir John Brampston made Report from the said Committee, That they had finished the Bill; and desired, that a Time might be appointed for to make Report thereof.

Ordered, That the Bill for Hearths and Stoves be reported on Monday Morning, at Ten of the Clock.

Fees of Custom-house Officers.

Ordered, That the Sub Committee, for considering of the Tables of Fees between the Officers of the Customs and the Merchants, do sit de die in diem; notwithstanding the Sitting of any Grand Committee, or of the Committee for Customs.
