E. of Derby's Estate.

A Bill for restoring Charles Earl of Derby to the Manors of Mould and Mouldsdale, Hope and Hopesdale, in the County of Flint, was this Day read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Brokers.

The Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill for Confirmation of a Register of Sales and Pawns, made to retailing Brokers in London and Westminster, and Places adjacent, were this Day twice read.

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the said Amendments: And that the said Amendments be added to, and made Part of the Bill.

Barnesley's Estate.

A Bill to enable Charles Barnesley Esquire, and Gilbert his Son and Heir apparent, to sell Lands for the Payment of the Debts of the said Charles Barnesley, his Father, was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, That the same be committed to Sir Tho. Strickland, Sir Tho. Tompkins, Mr. Strickland, Mr. Morrice, Mr. Newton, Sir Lancelot Lake, Sir Courtney Poole, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Wm. An ingrossed Bill for the Sale of Sir Robert Slingsby deceased his Lands, for Payment of his Debts, was this Day read the Third time.

And several Amendments being, upon the Question, agreed to; and the Bill being accordingly amended at the Clerk's Table;

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the Amendments, so amended and agreed to, do pass.

Resolved, That the Title of the said Bill shall be, An Act for Sale of Sir Robert Slingsby deceased his Lands, for Payment of his Debts.

Ordered, That the ingrossed Bill for the enabling Henry Chambers, Executor of John Chambers; William Wharton, who married the Executrix of William Barrett; and John Clay, Executor of Herculus Clay; to raise and levy the Sum of Two thousand Six hundred and Ninety Pounds, out of the Manors, Lands, Tenements, Hereditaments, and Possessions of Colonel John Hutchinson; be read To-morrow, when the House is full.

Dover Pier.

A Bill for Repairing of Dover Harbour was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Poor Relief.

Ordered, That the ingrossed Bill for the constituting Corporations in the City of London, and Westminster, and in the several Cities and Counties within the Kingdom of England, and Dominion of Wales, and Town of Berwick upon Tweed, for the better Relief, and Employment of the Poor; and for the preventing of Poor, by the Setling of them; and for the better Execution of the Laws against Rogues and Vagabonds; be read To-morrow Morning.

London, &c. Streets.

A Bill for Repairing the Highways and Sewers, and for paving and keeping clean of the Streets in and about the Cities of London and Westminster; and for reforming of Annoyances and Disorders in the Streets of, and Places adjacent to, the said Cities; was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, That this Bill be committed to the same Committee to which the Bill for regulating Hackney Coaches was formerly committed: And all the Members of this House, that come to the said Committee, are to have Voices thereat: And the said Committee is revived: And they are to meet this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And the said Committee are to take particular Care of that Clause in the Bill, for charging the Country, within Ten Miles of London, to contribute towards the Repairing and Amending these Highways; and to peruse the Statute of 32 H. VIII. and other Statutes and Laws made touching the same; and to provide, by the Bill, that such Monies as shall be raised by Licensing of Hackney Coaches, may be applied towards the Repairing and Maintaining the Highways and Streets; and to receive any other Proposals or Expedients, that shall be offered for Ease of the People, and lessening the Charge of repairing and amending the Highways; and to make such Alterations and Additions to this Bill, as they shall think fit; and to incorporate the Bill for Hackney Coaches into this Bill: And it is recommended to Mr. Yorke to take care of this Business, and to see it expedited.

10 per Cent Interest.

A Bill for such Persons as shall supply his Majesty with Money for his present Occasions, to take Interest at Ten Pounds per Centum, was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be committed to the Committee of the whole House, that is appointed for the King's Revenue: And that the House will resolve into a Committee To-morrow Morning, to take this Bill in the first Place, and afterwards the King's Revenue, into Consideration: And they are to limit a Time in the Bill, for the taking up and retaining Money at Interest, by his Majesty, at the Rate of Ten Pounds per Centum.

Bengworth Bridge.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill for Bengworth Bridge is committed, be revived; and do meet To-morrow, at the Place formerly appointed, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon.

Phillips' Case.

Ordered, That the Committee to which the Business touching Mr. James Phillips is referred, be revived; and do sit To-morrow, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Place formerly appointed.

Cockermouth Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do send his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to issue out a new Writ for Election of a Member for Cockermouth, in the Place of Mr. Potter deceased.

Wells Key.

Ordered, That Sir Edmond Peirse and Mr. Clarke be added to the Committee to whom the Bill for Repair of Wells Key is committed.

Hollingbeech's Nat.

Ordered, That the Name of John Hollinbeech, of Mortlack, Tapestryman, be inserted into the Bill for Naturalization.
