Prayers.

Stodscombe, &c. Manors.

AN ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for discharging the Manors of Stodscombe, and Holwell, and other Lands in the County of Devon, from the Trust of One hundred and Fifty Years, made unto John Earl of Exeter, John Earl of Bridgewater, and Oliver Earl of Bullingbrook, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, upon the Question, That this House doth assent to the said Bill.

Custom Fees.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill for preventing Frauds and Abuses to his Majesty, in relation to his Customs, do appoint a Sub-committee, to examine and consider of Proposals for a Table of Fees, between the Merchants and Officers.

Privilege-a Person discharged.

Forasmuch as this House was this Day informed, that Samuell Holmes, an Attorney at Law, who, by Order of the Twentieth of January last, was apprehended by the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for his Contempt, and Breach of Privilege, in obtaining a Judgment, and taking out Execution, against Sir William Fleetwood, one of the Members of this House, had submitted himself to the said Sir William Fleetwood, and given him Satisfaction:

Ordered That the said Samuell Holmes be discharged of his Imprisonment, paying his Fees.

Enyons' Estate.

Ordered, That the Bill for settling certain Manors and Lands of Sir James Enyons, on his Trustees, to sell, for Payment of his Debts, be read To-morrow Morning.

Common Fields.

Ordered, That the Bill for Wastes and Commons be read To-morrow Morning.

Silkthrowers.

Ordered, That the Bill of the Silk-throwers be read To-morrow Morning.

Poor Relief.

Mr. Ashburnham reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for the constituting Corporations in the Cities of London and Westminster, and in the several Cities and Counties within the Kingdom of England, and Dominion of Wales, and Town of Berwick upon Tweed, for the better Relief and Employment of the Poor; and for the preventing of Poor, by the Settling of them; and for the better Execution of the Laws against Rogues and Vagabonds; was committed; several Amendments, and an Addition to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered in at the Clerk's Table.

Which said Amendments being severally twice read;

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the Four first Amendments.

And the Question being put, That this House doth agree with the Committee, to the Fifth Amendment;

The House was divided: And

The Noes went forth.

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the said Amendments and Addition, be ingrossed.

Yorkshire Cloth Trade.

An ingrossed Bill for the better Regulating of the Manufacture of Broad Woolen Cloth, within the West Riding of the County of Yorke, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, That the said Bill do pass.

Resolved, That the Title of the said Bill shall be, An Act for the better Regulating of the Manufacture of Broad Woolen Cloth, within the West Riding of the County of York.

Wine Licences.

Mr. Seymour made Report, That he had attended his Majesty with the Message on the Behalf of those who had Licences to sell Wine by Retail: And that his Majesty, being retired into his Closet, did, upon Notice of the Message, presently come forth; and graciously received the same; and declared, that he would take it into Consideration.

Scarcity of Corn, &c.

Mr. Secretary Morrice reported, That he had attended his Majesty with the Messages concerning the remitting of the Rigour of the Law for the strict Observation of the Lent ensuing: And that no Grain might be transported out of Ireland, but upon good Security to bring the same for England: And that his Majesty was graciously pleased to declare, That he would take the first Part of the Message into serious Consideration; and give Order for the Observation of the Second Part of . . . said Message.

Sheriffs Accounts.

Mr. Steward reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for preventing unnecessary Charge of Sheriffs, and for Ease in passing their Accompts, was re-committed, several Amendments to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and after, delivered in at the Clerk's Table.

Which said Amendments being twice read; some Alterations were made therein.

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the said Amendments, with the Alterations therein so made.

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the said Amendments and Alterations, be ingrossed.

Coppleston's Estate.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill for enabling John Coppleston Esquire, to sell Lands, is committed, be revived; and do sit in the Place formerly appointed this Afternoon at Two of the Clock: And the Persons under-named are added to the said Committee; viz. Sir Henry North, Sir John Rouse, Sir Edmond Pooley, Mr. Cornewallis.

Chute's Petition.

Ordered, That Mr. Chute's Petition be read, and taken into Consideration, To-morrow Morning.

Pluralities, &c.

Ordered, That the Bill touching Pluralities and Curates Maintenance, be read To-morrow Morning.

Derrick's Nat.

Ordered, That Roger Derrick, Son of Stephen Derrick, be inserted into the Bill of Naturalization.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning at Eight of the Clock.
