Prayers.

Privilege.

RESOLVED, That the Constable of Westminster, William Dibden, alias Dabene, William Barrington, Samuell Roper, Richard Knight, Arthur Butterworth, Richard Loveland, and John Bowman, be apprehended, and brought in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms; to answer their Breach of Privilege, in imprisoning Mr. Speccott, and Mr. Southcott, Two of the Members of this House; and for using them in a reproachful Manner; and using ignominious Words against the Members of this House.

Exporting Wool.

Sir Richard Ford made Report, that he and Captain Jones had attended his Majesty, with the Order of this House, of the Nineteenth of December last, concerning Wools, and Screws, and other Engines, for the close Pack ing of Wool: And that his Majesty was graciously pleased readily to order, that the Engines should be taken, and brought on Shore: Which was done accordingly.

Bristol Merchants.

A Bill for confirming Letters Patents incorporating the Society of Merchant Adventurers of the City of Bristol, was this Day read the Second time.

And the Question being put, That the said Bill should be laid aside;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Committee for Trade.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Grand Committee for Trade do constantly sit twice a Week; viz. on every Monday and Friday, in the Afternoon: And that, laying all other Business aside, they do, in the First place, take into Consideration the Deceits and Abuses in all Woolen Manufactures; and inquire into the Reasons of the Decay of that Trade: And that they do prepare and bring in a Bill, or Proposals, for restoring and improving thereof, and for the Regulation of the Exportation of the said Woolen Manufactures; and to hinder the Exportation of Wool, and Wool Fells; and to remedy the Scarcity of Bullion, and to prevent the Exportation thereof: And that all other Committees do forbear to sit at the times appointed for the sitting of this Committee.

Conference on Committee for Conspiracy.

Message from the Lords, by Mr. Justice Mallett and Mr. Justice Tirrell;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords desire a present Meeting with this House, in the Painted Chamber, concerning the Committee of both Houses.

And the Messengers being commanded to withdraw;

It was Resolved, upon the Question, That this House doth agree to the said Meeting.

And the Messengers being again called in; they were acquainted with the Resolution of the House therein: And

Mr. Serjeant Charleton, Mr. Waller, Sir Wm. Lowther, Dr. Birkenhead, Mr. Vaughan, Sir Robert Atkins, and Mr. William Coventry, are to manage the said Conference; and make Report thereof: And

Mr. Serjeant Charleton, Sir Robert Atkins, and Mr. Waller having made Report to the House of the Conference; and that the Lords had dissolved their Committee;

Ordered, That the Committee of this House, who were joined with the Committee of the House of Lords, do make their Report, according to the former Appointment, on Friday next.

Presentations.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed of the Persons hereunder named; Mr. Crouch, Dr. Birkenhead, Sir Charles Harbord, Sir Anthony Irby, Mr. Wren, Dr. Burwell, Sir Thomas Meres, Mr. Attorney of the Duchy, Mr. Pryn: And they, or any Three or more of them, are to call before them Phillip Naye the younger, who was Clerk to the late pretended Triers; and to require, and receive from him all Presentations to any ecclesiastical Benefices or Promotions, made in the Time of the late usurped Powers; and Entries of any Admissions, Institutions, or Inductions thereupon, now in his Custody: And they are to meet this Afternoon, in the Duchy Chamber; and to sit de die in diem; and to make Report of their Proceedings therein to this House.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, at Eight of the Clock.
