Navy Government.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for establishing Articles and Orders for the Regulating and better Government of his Majesty's Navies, Ships of War, and Forces by Sea, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That the same be read again, the Second time, on Thursday next.

L. Abergevenny's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for to enable John Lord Abergevenny, Son and Heir of Henry late Lord Abergevenny, to sell certain Lands for Payment of his Debts, and Preferment of his Brother and Sisters, was this Day read the Third time.

Resolved, That this House doth give their Assent to the said Bill; and that the same be returned to the Lords, as agreed unto.

Grey's Claim.

Ordered, That the Bill for Angell Grey to hold the Lands of Sir John Danvers, till he receive Three thousand Pounds, with Damages, be read To-morrow Morning.

Great Level of Fens.

Mr. Dennis reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for confirming and continuing an Act for the necessary Maintenance of the Work of Draining the Great Level of the Fens was committed, some Amendments to the said Bill; and a Proviso to be made Part thereof: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in the same at the Clerk's Table, together with the said Bill: Which said Amendments, and Proviso, being severally twice read;

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the said Amendments and Proviso; and that the Bill, with the said Amendments and Proviso, be ingrossed.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. Swanton, being Clerk of the Assizes for the Western Circuit, have the Leave of this House to go into the Country, to attend the public Service.

Pains and Penalties against Regicides.

Sir John Brampston reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for declaring the Pains, Penalties, and Forfeitures, to be imposed upon the Estates and Persons of certain notorious Offenders, excepted out of the Act of free and general Pardon, Indemnity, and Oblivion, was re-committed, several new Amendments relating to Sir Arthur Haslerig, and a Saving, and Three Provisoes to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in the same, with the Bill, at the Clerk's Table: Which said Amendments being twice read; this House agreed thereunto: And the Saving to all the Estate, Right, Title, and Interest, in Law or Equity, which they have to any of the Premises, not being in Trust for any of the Offenders, nor derived by, from, or under them, since the Twenty-fifth of March 1646, was, upon the Reading, amended; and after, twice read and agreed unto: And a Proviso for Cuthbert Collingwood, and George Collingwood; and another for Rachel Power; and another for Barrington Boucher; were all severally twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto.

And another Proviso, tendered on the Behalf of the Right Reverend Father in God the Lord Bishop of Duresme, being read; was, upon the Question, laid aside: And

Resolved, upon the Question, That this Bill, with the several Amendments and Provisoes this Day and Yesterday agreed unto, and made Part thereof, be ingrossed.

Heslerig's Children.

A Petition to his Sacred Majesty on the Behalf of the Children of Sir Arthur Haslerig, in pursuance of the former Vote of this House, was this Day read; and amended in some Particulars: And

Resolved, upon the Question, That this House doth agree to the said Petition, so amended; which Petition followeth in these Words * * * * And

Ordered, That when the said Bill for the declaring the Pains, Penalties, and Forfeitures, to be imposed upon the Estates and Persons of certain notorious Offenders, excepted out of the Act of free and general Pardon, Indemnity, and Oblivion, be sent up to the Lords, the said Petition be also sent up therewith: And that the Concurrence of the Lords be desired both to the said Bill and Petition.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. Goddard, one of the Members of this House, have Leave to go into the Country.

Militia.

A temporary Bill for settling the Militia in the Kingdom of England, Dominion of Wales, and Town of Berwick upon Tweed, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That the same be now read again the Second time.

And the same being read the Second time;

Resolved, That the same be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

Whereupon Mr. Speaker left the Chair: And

Mr. Milward took the Chair: And after a full Debate thereupon had,

Mr. Speaker again took the Chair: And

Mr. Milward made Report of several Amendments made in the said Bill; and a Proviso to be added thereunto: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in the same, with the said Bill, at the Clerk's Table.

And the said Amendments, being severally twice read, were, upon the Question, agreed unto.

And the Proviso being, "That this Act should not, after the Twenty-fifth of March next, be prejudicial to any County, City or Place, within this Kingdom, which are over-charged with Men and Arms beyond their ancient Proportion;"

The same was twice read; and amended; and, upon the Question, agreed unto.

And it being debated, That this Act should not give Power to transport any of the Subjects of this Realm, or any way compell them to march out of this Kingdom; * * * *

Perjury.

Mr. Pryn made Report from the Committee to whom the Bill for the further suppressing of Perjury and Subornation of Perjury was committed, several Amendments, and a Proviso to be added thereunto: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in the same, with the Bill, at the Clerk's Table: Which being severally twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto;

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the said Amendments and Proviso, be ingrossed.

Quakers, &c.

Mr. Crouch reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for preventing the Mischiefs and Dangers that may arise by certain Persons called Quakers was recommitted, several other Amendments, besides those formerly reported, and a Proviso to be added to the said Bill: Which he read, with the Coherence, in his Place; and afterwards delivered in the same, with the Bill, at the Clerk's Table: Which said Amendments being severally twice read; and the said Proviso being, upon the First Reading thereof, amended at the Table; and then twice read;

Resolved, That this House doth agree to the said Amendments, and Proviso; and that the said Bill, with the said Amendments, and Proviso so amended, be ingrossed.
