A Bill for Repeal of an Act of Parliament, intituled, An Act for disenabling all Persons in Holy Orders to exercise any temporal Jurisdiction or Authority, being brought in, according to Order, was this Day read the First time.

Cardiffe Election.
The House being informed, that a new Writ was issued for a new Election for the Town of Cardiffe in Glamorganshire, upon the Waver of a Member returned for that Place, whose Election was questionable, before the same was determined;
Ordered, That the Business touching the Election for the said Town of Cardiffe be referred to the Committee for Privileges and Elections; to take the same into Consideration at their next Sitting this Afternoon, the first Business.
Militia.
And then the House resolved into a Grand Committee of the whole House, to proceed upon the Bill for ordering the Forces in the several Counties of this Kingdom:
And Mr. Speaker left the Chair:
And Sir Heneage Finch, his Majesty's Solicitor General, took the Chair.
After which Mr. Speaker again took the Chair.
And Sir Heneage Finch making Report, that the Committee of the whole House had made some Progress upon the said Bill;
Ordered, That this House do resolve into a Grand Committee of the whole House, at their next Sitting, at Ten of the Clock; and then resume the further Debate of the said Bill.
Climbing over Seats forbidden.
Ordered, That, whensoever the House is to rise, every Member keep their Seat, till the Speaker go out; and then every one in their Course orderly, as they sit, and not over the Formes.
Ordered, That all such of the Members of this House, as climb over their Seats, shall pay Twelve-pence to the Serjeant attending this House.
Committees
Resolved, That the Committee of Privileges and Elections only do sit this Afternoon; but no other Committee, saving such as are this Day particularly appointed by the House to sit this Afternoon; are to sit during the Adjournment of this House, till Wednesday next.
