ORDERED, That the Thanks of this House be returned to Dr. Peirce for the Sermon he preached Yesterday; and that he be desired to print his Sermon: And Sir Heneage Finch, Mr. Coventrie, and Mr. Pryn, or any one of them, are desired to give him the Thanks of this House.

Clergy's temporal Jurisdiction.

Resolved, upon the Question, nemine contradicente, That a Bill be forthwith brought in to repeal an Act made in the 17th Year of the late King, for disenabling all Persons in Holy Orders to exercise any temporal Jurisdiction or Authority: And Sir Heneage Finch is desired to prepare and bring in the said Bill.

Hunt's Estate.

A Bill to enable the Sale of some of the Lands of Thomas Hunt Esquire, and John Hunt Gentleman, for Payment of their Debts, was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Bill be committed to Sir Robert Atkyns, Sir Courtney Poole, Mr. Fowell, Serjeant Charleton, Mr. Corington, Mr. Clifford, Mr. Dennis, Mr. Biscowen, Mr. Goodrick, Sir Wm. Strode, Mr. Southcott, Mr. Higgons, Mr. Clifton, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Sicklemore, Mr. Rigby, and all the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, who serve for the County of Devon: And they are to meet in the Speaker's Chamber this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Hitcham's Charities.

Ordered, That the Bill for settling and confirming of the Manors of Framlingham and Saxstead, &c. devised by Sir Robert Hitcham Knight, and late Serjeant at Law, to charitable Uses, be read To-morrow Morning.

Leather Trade.

A Bill for the more speedy Way for Tanning, Tawing, and Dressing, of all Sorts of Leather, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Bill be read again the Second time on this Day Sevennight.

Public Revenue.

The Business touching his Majesty's Revenue and present Supply, being this Day resumed into Consideration, according to the Order made on Tuesday last;

The House was unanimously agreeing in Opinion forthwith to provide a present and plentiful Supply for his Majesty's present unavoidable great Occasions; and also to settle a full, constant, and standing Revenue, for the Time to come, such as might be fit the Support of so Great and Good a Prince, and might honourably and effectually maintain and uphold his Government.

And the Manner of raising Money for his Majesty's present Occasions, being in Debate; it was

Resolved, upon the Question, That a Bill be forthwith brought in, to enable his Majesty to send out Commissions to receive the free and voluntary Contribution of his People, towards the present Supply of his Majesty's Affairs: And Sir Heneage Finch, his Majesty's Solicitor General, is desired to bring in a Bill for that Purpose.

Countess of Dorset's Jointure.

Ordered, That a Bill for the Relief of Anne Countess Dowager of Dorset, Pembrook, and Mountgomery, touching a Misrecital of the Date of her Deeds of Jointure, be read To-morrow Morning.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, at Eight of the Clock.
