Prayers.

Thanks giving Day.

MR. Scott reports, A Declaration, setting forth the Grounds and Reasons for setting apart the First Day and the Fifteenth Day of September next, for Publick Thanksgiving to Almighty God, for his great Mercies, in giving many Victories to our Forces in Ireland.

Which was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be printed and published.

Resolved, That the Door be shut till Twelve of Clock.

Ordered, by the Parliament, That Twelve thousand of the said Declarations be forth . . . . printed: And that it be recommended to the Council of State, to take care that the same be dispersed to the Ministers in the several Counties and Cities.

Universities.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee for regulating the Universities, who are hereby impowered to nominate and appoint fit Persons to execute the Place of Vice Chancellors in each of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge until the Parliament shall give other Order.

Colchester Ministers.

Mr. Garland reports from the Committee, Amendments to the Bill for the more frequent Preaching of the Gospel, and better Maintenance of the Ministers, in the Town of Colchester, in the County of Essex: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto.

And the Question being put, That the said Act, so amended, be ingrossed;

It passed with the Negative.

And the said Act, being put to the Question, passed.

Norfolk Weavers.

Ordered, That the Amendments to the Bill touching the Worsted Weavers of Norfolk and Norwich be reported on Wednesday next, at Eleven of Clock; nothing to intervene.

Sir Henry Lingen.

Ordered, That the Petition of Sir Henry Lingen be read on Wednesday next, at Eleven of Clock.

The House, according to former Order, adjourned itself until Tuesday next, Eight of Clock.
