Prayers.

Prices of Corn, &c.

A BILL for bringing down the Prices of Corn and Grain, and preventing Abuses, Spoil, and Destruction in Meal, and of forestalling and selling the same in private Shops, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto Mr. Corbett, Mr. Fell, Sir Gilbert Pickering, Mr. Leman, Alderman Atkins, Alderman Allen, Mr. Weaver, Mr. Attorney General, Mr. Bond, Mr. Ashe, Mr. Snelling, Major Lister, Sir James Harrington, Mr. Salwey, Mr. Garland, Mr. Hallowes, Colonel Fielder, Sir Richard Lucy, Sir John Bourchier, Alderman Pennington: And all that come to have Voices: And this Committee are to meet in the Exchequer Chamber, at Two of Clock this Afternoon: With Power to this Committee to send for Persons, Papers, Records; and to hear all Persons concerned.

And Alderman Atkin and Alderman Allen are to take care of it.

Ordered, That the Petition of the Lord Mayor, Aldermen, and Common Council of the City of London, read the Eleventh Day of this instant July, be referred to the same Committee, to take the same into Consideration.

Ordered, That the Petitions of the Lady Fairfax, the Countess of Exeter, Mr. Smithsby, and Sir Gerard Lowther, be read on Friday Morning next, at Eleven of Clock.

Ly. Drake's Claims.

The humble Petition of the Lady Ellen Drake, of Aysh in the County of Devon, Widow, was this Day read.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Commissioners of Goldsmiths Hall, to take Account of how much of the Fifteen hundred Pounds, given by the Parliament to the Lady Ellen Drake, out of the Estate of the late Lord Pawlett, is already satisfied; and how much thereof is yet unpaid; and to prefix a Time for the Payment thereof; and, in Default of Payment, to give Order for the Sequestration of that Estate, for the Satisfaction of that Remainder, until the same shall be satisfied.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That the Lord Commissioner Whitelock have Leave to go into the Country, for Recovery of his Health.

Arthington's Claims.

Ordered, That the Report touching Mrs. Arthington, be made on Friday Morning next, after the Petitions of the Lady Fairfax, the Countess of Exeter, Sir Gerard Lowther, and Mr. Smithby.

Delinquents Estates.

Mr. Garland reports from the Committee, Amendments to the Bill for Sale of the Estates of several Delinquents: Which were twice read.

The Question being propounded, That the Name of John Bodvile Esquire do stand;

So it passed with the Affirmative.

Resolved, That Marmaduke Royden, deceased, sometimes called Sir Marmaduke Royden, be inserted into this Bill, for all the Estate whereof he was seised or possessed, at the Time of his Death, to be sold.

Resolved, That the Debate, upon these Amendments, be adjourned till To-morrow Morning: And that the Committee to whom this Bill was committed, do meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in Mr. Speaker's Chamber, to consider of other Persons to be inserted into this Bill, for Sale of their Estates; and present them to the House; and also the Names of fit Persons to be Trustees, Contractors, and other Officers, in this Bill; and report it to the House To-morrow Morning.
