Prayers.
Devaux's Petition.
APETITION being presented on the Behalf of Thomas Devaux Esquire, and Magdalen his Wife; and it being desired, That the said Petition should be read;
And, upon the Debate of the House, the Question being propounded, That this House doth declare, that they will not meddle with any Case of Meum & Tuum, between Party and Party, which is determinable by any Court of Justice, except it be in case of Male Administration, or where the Law is defective;
The Question was put, That the said Question be first put;
It passed with the Negative.
The humble Petition of Thomas Devaux Esquire, and Magdalen his Wife, was this Day read.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to consider of this Petition; and to examine the Matter of Force and Practice: And that they have Power to give Relief therein, by restoring the Child to her former Guardians, or otherwise, as they shall think sit.
Education of Children.
Ordered, That the Act touching the Education of Children, and appointing them Guardians, be read Thisday-sevennight.
Carmen.
Ordered, That the Report touching the Carmen be made This-day-sevennight.
Writs of Error.
Ordered, That the Bill touching Writs of Error be read To-morrow Morning, the first Business.
