Prayers.

Wallopp's, &c. Claims.

THE humble Petition of Robert Wallopp Esquire, was this Day read.

The humble Petition of Sir Thomas Jervois Knight, was this Day read.

Ordered, That the said several Petitions be referred to the Committee to whom the Act touching the Lord President be referred; to consider how Reparation may be made unto the Petitioners, out of the Estate of the Marquis of Winchester, by whose means they sustained great Damage.

Ordered, That Mr. Love and Mr. Fell be added to that Committee.

Ordered, That the Petition of Peter Weaver Esquire be referred to the same Committee: Who are to consider how the Petitioner may have Reparation for his Losses, out of the Marquis of Winchester's Estate.

Committees of Assessment.

Ordered, That Colonel Adrian Scroope, Walter Elwood, Thomas Kelsey, Esquires; JohnCarey, and WilliamSprigg, Gentlemen; be added to the Committee for the Assessment of the Ninety thousand Pounds per mensem, in the County of Oxon; and to other Committees for the said County.

Ordered, That Thomas Arnold Esquire be added to the Committee of Bedford, for the Assessment of the Ninety thousand Pounds per mensem.

Ordered, That Carey Rawleigh Esquire be added to the Committee of Surrey, for the Assessment of the Ninety thousand Pounds per mensem; and to other Committees for the said County.

Lord Capell.

The humble Petition of Arthur Lord Capell, was this Day read.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Trustees for the Raising of Fifty thousand Pounds, for Ireland, out of the Estate of the Lord Capell, and others, to examine the Truth of this Petition; and to hear and determine the same; and do Justice therein to the Petitioner.

Private Business.

Resolved, &c. That, for Eight Days, no private Business be admitted; but publick Business only to be taken into Consideration, during that Time.

Customs.

The House this Day resumed the Debate upon the List of the Officers for the Out Ports.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth approve of the several Allowances in this List, and of the Persons therein named, in the respective Places.

Customs, &c.

Mr. Myles Corbett reports an Act authorizing the Commissioners of the Customs to collect and receive the Monies due for Customs or Subsidies, or otherwise.

Which was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee of the Navy; to be brought in To-morrow Morning.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth approve of Mr. Robert Thompson to be one of the Commissioners for the Navy, with the like Salary as the rest of the Commissioners.

Sequestered Estates.

Resolved, &c. That the Tenants of sequestred Estates, who are to retain their Rents in their Hands till the First of August next, shall continue their Rents for such Estates in their Hands till the First of September, except the Parliament shall otherwise order.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to the Committee of Goldsmiths Hall, to consider how, and by what means, the Rents, so staid in the Hands of the said Tenants, may be gotten in for the best Advantage of the State; and report it to the House.

Civilians.

The humble Petition of the Doctors of the Civil Law, whose Names are subscribed, in the Behalf of themselves, and their Profession, was this Day read.

Ordered, That the said Petition of the Doctors of the Civil Law be referred to the Committee for Probate of Wills; to confer with what Persons they think fit about the said Business; with Power to send for Persons, Papers, and what else shall conduce to the Business: And that Mr. Gurdon, Mr. Stephens, Colonel Rich, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Bond, Mr. Challener, Mr. Scott, Colonel Marten, Colonel Fleetwood, Mr. Palmer, Colonel Thompson, Colonel Harrison, Mr. Ralegh, Mr. Stockdale, Mr. Fell, Mr. Bingham, Captain Skinner, be added to the said Committee.

Eleutherian Islands.

An Act for Encouragement of the Adventurers who have discovered certain Islands lying between the Degrees of Twenty-three and an Half and Thirty, North Latitude, from the Equinoctial: and, in Longitude, from Florida to the Summer Islands.

Which was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto Mr. Reynolds, Colonel Marten, Lord Whitelock, Mr. Boone, Mr. Scott, Mr. Trenchard, Mr. Nelthorpe, Sir Henry Mildmay, Colonel Harrison, Sir Wm. Strickland, Mr. Lister, Sir John Danvers, Colonel Ven, Mr. Toll, Mr. Millington, Mr. Clement, Mr. Weaver, Mr. Stephens, Mr. Holland, Mr. Stockdale, Colonel Downes, Colonel Rich, Lord Mounson, Mr. Ashe, Mr. Challener, Mr. Staply, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Ralegh, Captan Skinner: Who are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock, in the Exchequer Chamber.
