Thanks for Sermons.

ORDERED, That Mr. Millington do give the Thanks of this House to Mr. Cordell, for his great Pains in his Sermon, preached at Margaret's, Westminster, before the House, this Day: And that he be desired to print his Sermon: Wherein he is to have the like Privilege of printing it, as others in the like kind usually have had.

No King to be proclaimed.

Ordered, That Thomas Bourman Esquire, and Major Edmund Rolfe, or one of them, be required to cause the Act, intituled, An Act prohibiting the Proclaiming of any Person to be King of England or Ireland, or the Dominions thereof, to be forthwith proclaimed in the Market Towns, and other publick Places, in the Isle of Wight.

Tryal of Delinquents.

Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to bring in an Act for Tryal of such Delinquents as are now in Prison; viz. to Mr. Purefoy, Mr. Lysle, Mr. Prydeaux, Mr. Love, Mr. Say, Lieutenant General Cromwell, Colonel Pine, Mr. Harbert, Mr. Weaver, Mr. Holland, Mr. Garland, Mr. Millington, Colonel Bosevile, Mr. Whitlock, Sir John Danvers, Mr. Martyn, Mr. Robinson, Sir Wm. Constable; or any Three of them: And this Committee are to meet To-morrow Morning, in Mr. Speaker's Chamber; and to bring in the Act To-morrow Morning: And the more particular Care hereof is referred to Mr. Lysle.

Taking Duke of Hamilton.

Ordered, That Sixscore Pounds be given to the Troopers that took the Duke of Hamilton.

Ordered, That, the said One hundred and Twenty Pounds be charged on the Revenue: And that the Committee of the Revenue do pay the same accordingly.

Grant to Ld. Grey.

Ordered, That the Lord Grey be desired, out of Haberdashers Hall, to dispose of One hundred Pounds for the Service of the Commonwealth, as he shall think fit: And that the Committee at Haberdashers Hall be required forthwith to pay the same to the said Lord Grey, for that Purpose.

No King to be proclaimed.

Commissary General Ireton reports the Return of Edward Dendy, Serjeant at Arms, touching the Proclaiming of an Act, intituled, An Act prohibiting the Proclaiming any Person to be King of England, &c. according to an Order of this House: . . . . . was this Day read.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Revenue do pay unto each of the Trumpeters who attended the Serjeant at Arms in proclaiming the Act, intituled, An Act prohibiting the Proclaiming of any Person King of England, &c. Ten Shillings apiece: And that the same be paid to * Brett, for himself, and the rest of the Trumpeters: And his Receipt to be a Discharge to the Committee for the same.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Court of Justice, to take into Consideration a Recompence to be given to the Serjeant at Arms, for his Service in Proclaiming the Act, intituled, An Act for prohibiting the Proclaiming of any Person to be King of England, &c. and also, of an Allowance to be given to Captain Ware, Lieutenant Bridger, Mr. Wm. Alleyn, Mr. Hart, Lieutenant Fincher, Cornet Lloyd, and Mr. Seeny, for the time they attended the late King at Windsore.

Thockmorton's &c. Accompts.

Ordered, That Colonel Thockmorton and Colonel Bulstrode, do bring in their Accompts on Saturday next.

Navy, &c.

Whereas, in an Act of this present Parliament, intituled, An Act of the Commons, in Parliament assembled, touching the Regulating of the Officers of the Navy and Customs, the Time of the taking effect of the said Act is limited to be the First of February next: It is Ordered, by the Commons assembled in Parliament, That the Time for the said Act to take Effect be inlarged until the Fifteenth of the same Month of February: And that no Person or Persons shall receive any Prejudice, or incur any Penalty or Forfeiture, in the said Act prescribed, by executing or officiating in his or their several and respective Place or Offices, until the Fifteenth of February aforesaid.

The King's Body, &c.

Commissary General Ireton reports a Paper of divers Particulars touching the late King's Body, his George, his Diamond, and Two Seals.

The Question being put, That the Diamond be sent to Charles Stuart, Son of the late King, commonly called Prince of Wales;

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Garter be sent to him;

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, That the George be sent to him;

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, That the Seals be sent to him;

It passed with the Negative.

Colonel Harrison, Sir John Danvers, Sir Michael Livesey, Mr. Scott, Lord Grey, Mr. Holland, Mr. Allen, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Oldesworth, Mr. Trenchard, Mr. Pine, Mr. Love, Colonel Fleet wood, or any Three of them, are to consider of the Particulars presented, concerning the King's Body, and other Things contained in that Paper, presented by Commissary General Ireton; and also to peruse the Papers of the late King; and make Report to this House, What they think fit to be done therein: And this Committee is to meet in the Queen's Court, Tomorrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon: And Mr. Marten is to take care of it.

Dr. Juxon.

Ordered, That Dr. Juxon be discharged from any Restraint, by any former Order of this House.

Seymour's Case.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of War, to take Consideration of the Case of Mr. Seymour, and dispose of him as they shall find Cause.

London Common Council.

An Act for removing of Obstructions in Proceedings of the Court of Common Council of the City of London was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto Mr. Garland, Mr. Allen, Mr. Holland, Colonel Ven, Mr. Pelham, Mr. Dove, Alderman Wilson, Lieutenant General Cromwell, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Carey, Sir Gregory Norton, Mr. Marten, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Love;

This Committee, or any Three of them, are to meet To-morrow Morning at Eight of the Clock in the Queen's Court.

Relief of Debtors.

Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of something to be offered to the House, for Release of poor Prisoners: Viz. unto Mr. Holland, Mr. Marten, Lord Grey, Mr. Lisle, Lieutenant General Cromwell, Mr. Smyth, Mr. Heveningham, Mr. Whitelock, Mr. Edwards, Colonel Purefoy, Mr. Say, Mr. Scott, Colonel Temple, Mr. Anlaby, Mr. Dave; or any Five of them: To meet in the Court of Wards.

Earl of Holland.

Ordered, That the Earl of Holland be brought up in safe Custody, from Warwick Castle, to St. James' House; and there secured.

Linne Mart.

Ordered, That the Mayor of Linne Regis in the County of Norfolk do proclaim the Mart there, in the Name of the Parliament of England, and by Authority thereof.
