Prayers.

Army Arrears.

An Ordinance for raising the Sum of One hundred thousand Pounds, for Pay of Arrears to the reduced Officers, comprized within the said Ordinance, was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Second time on Thursday next.

Bishops Lands.

The House being informed, that the Trustees for the Sale of Bishops Lands were at the Door;

Records at Lambeth House.

They were called in; and did move the House, for passing the Ordinance that would remove Obstructions in that Service, and disengage that great Charge that lies upon other Receipts: Next, That some Care might be taken about the Records that are at Lambeth House; the Purchasers desiring the Delivery of the said House into their Possession: Some of those Records concerned the High Commission, some the Prerogative Court, others the Council Board and Star Chamber; and some that concern the Possessions of the Bishoprick.

The Petition of the said Trustees was read; being styled, The humble Petition of such of the Trustees for Sale of Bishops Lands, who have and do constantly attend the Service.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Members of this House, that are of the Committee formerly appointed for the Preservation of the Books and Manuscripts under Sequestration, with the Addition of Mr. Wheler, Mr. Nath. Fiennes, Sir Dudley North, Mr. Lucas, Mr. Boys, or any Two of them, to consider of all the Books, Manuscripts, Evidences, Records, and Papers, that are at Lambeth House, in any Room or Place there; and to distinguish them according to their several Natures; and to consider of some Place of Security, where they may be preserved and disposed; and by whom, and in what manner, with all convenient Speed; to the End the House may be cleared, and delivered up to the Hands of the Purchasers.

Resolved, &c. That the Petition of the Trustees for the Sale of Bishops Lands, who have and do constantly attend the Service, be referred to the Consideration of the Committee appointed for removing Obstructions in the Sale of Bishops Lands: Who are to report their Opinions thereupon to the House.

Lord Lauderdaile's Goods.

Ordered, upon the Question, That it be referred to the Committee of the Militia of the City of London, to keep the Peace; and to examine, By what Authority the Musqueteers are sent to the Place where the Lord Lauderdaile's Goods are; and to report the same to the Committee at Haberdashers Hall; to the end it may be reported to the House.

It is further Resolved, upon the Question, that the Committee of the Militia of London do remove those Guards and Musqueteers.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee at Haberdashers Hall do proceed in the Sequestring and Disposing of the Lord Lauderdaile's Goods, according to the former Order.

Message to Lords.

Mr. Wheler is appointed to carry to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Ordinance for giving Power to the Committee for regulating the Excise, to give Allowance to the Commissioners of Excise, and their Sub Commissioners and Under Officers, of such Monies as shall be taken from them by Force: An Ordinance for allowing a Salary of Five hundred Pounds to every of the Three Judges of the Admiralty, to be paid by the Commissioners of the Customs, out of the Receipts of the Customs: An Order for accepting Five hundred Pounds, by way of Fine and Composition, of Clement Paston, of Norwich Thorpe in the County of Norffolke, Esquire, for certain Parcels of Lands by him compounded for, according to Particulars entered at Goldsmiths Hall; being Part of the Two Third Parts of his Estate, sequestred for his Recusancy: An Order for putting the Remainder of the Two Thirds of his Estate into the Hands of Trustees: An Order for the Addition of Mr. Benjamin Norton, and Mr. Horsman, to the Committee of Sequestrations, and all other Committees in the County of Rutland: And was to put the Lords in mind of an Ordinance, formerly sent to their Lordships, for removing Obstructions in the Sale of Bishops Lands.

Message from Lords.

A Message from the Lords, by Dr. Aylett and Dr. Heath;

The Lords have commanded us to deliver unto this House a Letter from the Lord Admiral: Their Lordships have expressed their Sense upon it; in which they desire the Concurrence of this House: An Ordinance for Removing of Obstructions in the Sale of Bishops Lands, which they have returned, with some Amendments and Additions; to which they desire the Concurrence of this House: A Report from the Committee at Derby House, with divers Papers from the Lord Admiral, and the Prince.

Bishops Lands.

Ordered, That the Ordinance for removing Obstructions in the Sale of Bishops Lands, now returned from the Lords, be considered on Tuesday next, after the Reports from Goldsmiths Hall.

Reports deferred.

Ordered, That the Reports in Mr. Knightleye's Hands, which concern divers Officers, he reported and considered on Thursday next, after the Ordinance for the Reformado Officers.

Hide Park.

The Order now sent from the Lords, concerning the Custody of Hide Park, was read, and assented unto; and was in hæ verba: Viz.

"That, upon the Receipt and Consideration of the Earl of Warwick's Letter, directed to the Earl of Manchester, Speaker of this House, the Lords do think sit to revoke their former Order, for the recommending the Lord Howard to have the Custody and Keeping of Hide Park: And do desire, that the Earl of Warwicke may have it granted unto him."

Goldsmiths Hall Committee.

Ordered, That the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall do sit on Monday next, and so constantly; and give their best Assistance and Furtherance for the present Payment and bringing in of the Forty thousand Pounds, assigned upon those Receipts to the Navy.

Navy.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Navy, and the Commissioners of the Navy, do take care for the speedy furnishing the Fleet with Victual, and other necessary Provisions.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee, at Derby House, to consider, What is sit to be done with the Fleet now at the Goree.

Answer to Lords.

Answer returned by the same Messengers; That this House has considered their Lordships Message; and do agree to the Lords Order touching the Custody of Hide Park: To the rest, they will send Answer by Messengers of their own.

Oxford Petition.

The House being informed, that divers of the Inhabitants of the County of Oxon were at the Door;

They were called in: And one Mr. Butler delivered a Petition, styled, The humble Petition of many Wellaffected in the County of Oxon.
