Strangewayes' Fine.

RESOLVED, &c. That the Fifth, and Twentieth Part, be included in the Fine of Ten thousand Pounds, set upon Sir John Strangwayes, and his Son and Heir Giles Strangwayes.

Securing Delinquents.

Mr. Hill, Mr. Pury, Mr. Serjeant Wilde, Mr. Challoner, Colonel Morley, Mr. Holland, Mr. John Stephens;

This Committee is presently to withdraw, to prepare an Ordinance, upon the whole Debate of the House for securing Delinquents in the several Counties.

Bromeley ManorHouse.

Ordered, That the High Sheriff of the County of Kent be hereby required and enjoined to remove Dr. Warner, late Bishop of Rochester, and all other Persons whom he shall find in the Possession of the Manor House of Bromeley, out of the said House; and to deliver the Possession of the said Manor House, with the Appurtenances, and other the Lands there, late Parcel of the Possessions belonging to the late Bishoprick of Rochester, unto Augustine Skynner Esquire, or to such Person as he shall authorize, under his Hand and Seal, to receive the same; who bath purchased the said Manor of the Trustees for Sale of Bishops Lands, according to the Ordinances of Parliament in that Behalf; and to give an Account hereof to the House, within Four Days from the Date hereof.

Defaulters on Muster.

An Ordinance for punishing Defaulters upon Muster, in the County of Kent, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto Mr. Boyes, Mr. Bond, Sir Mich. Raising Money.

An additional Ordinance for the explaining and enlarging an Ordinance, of 13 Januarii 1647, for raising Fifty thousand Pounds for the speedy Relief of Ireland, was this Day read the Second time.-

Dacres', &c. Petition.

The humble Petition of Sir Thomas Dacres, a Member of this House, and of Henry Pitts Gentleman, was this Day read.

Message to Lords.

Mr. Bond carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence' an Ordinance appointing Persons to receive and issue the Monies appointed to be levied for the Maintenance of the Forces under the Command of Thomas Lord Fairefax General, the monthly Sum of Sixty thousand Pounds: An Ordinance for raising Six thousand Pounds, for Maintenance of Four hundred Soldiers, with their Officers, to be added to the Forces already in the Tower of London: An Ordinance for speedy levying and bringing in the Arrears of the Assessiments of the Sixty thousand Pounds per mensem in the City of London: Order for Thirty Pounds to Captain Davies, and for Thirty Pounds to Captain Barrington: Order for the maimed Soldiers to have the Use of Ely House: Order for One thousand Pounds to be paid to the Treasurers of maimed Soldiers: Order concerning the disposing of the Register's Place in the Court of Chancery.

Lord Capell's Debts.

An Ordinance for satisfying a Debt owing by Arthur Lord Capell unto Sir Thomas Dacres Knight, and unto Mr. Henry Pitts Gentleman, out of the Estate of the said Arthur Lord Capell, was this Day read the First and Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Words "or Composition," in this Ordinance, be left out.

The Ordinance, so amended, upon the Question, passed; and is ordered to be sent unto the Lords for their Concurrence.

Lord Cramborne is appointed to carry it to the Lords.

Raising Money.

A Proviso, to be added to the soresaid additional Ordinance for Ireland, on the Behalf of the Lady Honora Obrian, was this Day read the First and Second time.

A Proviso, to be added to the additional Ordinance for the Relief of Ireland, was read, on the Behalf of the Daughters of the Earl of Worcester.

Resolved, &c. That this additional Ordinance for Relief of Ireland, together with the Provisoes now offered and read, be committed unto Mr. Lisle, Sir John Temple, Mr. Hill, Colonel Morley, Sir Henry Mildmay, Mr. Trenchard, Sir Harbottle Grimston, Sir Tho. Dacres, Sir Robert Pie, Colonel Apsley, Mr. Say, Mr. Knightley, Mr. Pelham, Mr. Blackiston, Mr. Priestley, Sir John Hippesley, Mr. Leman, Colonel Cramborne, Sir William Brereton, Mr. Aldworth, Mr. Stephens, Mr. Challoner, Sir Wm. Massam, Mr. Annesley, Mr. John Goodwyn, Mr. Beddingfield, Mr. Whittacre, Mr. Ellys; and all the Lawyers of this House; and all the Members of this House that are of the Committee for the Affairs of Ireland, sitting in the Star Chamber; And they are to bring in an Ordinance for Relief of such well-affected Persons as have Debts owing unto them by Delinquents: And the Care of this Business is more particularly referred to Sir Harbottle Grimston; and the Care of this Business for Ireland to Mr. Annesley: And this Committee is to meet To-morrow at Two post meridicm, in the Star Chamber, where the Committee for the Affairs of Ireland usually sits.

Answer from Lords.

Mr. Bond brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Order for Thirty Pounds apiece to Captain Davies and Captain Barrington; and to the Order for One thousand Pounds for the sick and wounded Soldiers: To the rest, they will send Answer by Messengers of their own.

Delinquents.

Ordered, That the Ordinance, now offered by Colonel Morley, concerning Delinquents, be read To-morrow Morning.

Conference.

Mr. Green, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Knightley, Mr. Bond. Mr. Prideaux, are appointed Managers of the Conference desired, concerning the Commander of the Ship Antelopp.
