ORDERED, That Colonel Fleetwood, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Wales.

Ordered, That, on Friday next come Sevennight, the Reports be made from the Committee of North Wales concerning Wales.

Pierce's Petition.

The humble Petition of Richard Pierce, of Leachladd, in the County of Gloucester, Gentleman, was this Day read; and likewise a Certificate, recommending the Consideration of the said Petition.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to Serjeant Wilde, to certify the Truth of the Matter of Fact suggested in the Petition: And that, in the mean time, the Justices of Assize, and all others whom it may concern, are required to forbear any Proceedings against the Petitioner at the Common Law, until further Order.

Information against Price, &c.

Information against Sir Richard Price, of his being in Arms against the Parliament, and for having contributed Assistance to the Forces raised against the Parliament, were read.

Ordered, That, so soon as Sir Richard Price shall come in to the House, he be acquainted with the Informations, delivered in to the House, against him: And that he give his Answer unto them: And that, if he shall not come into the House To-day, that then the Serjeant give him Notice to attend To-morrow: And that then Mr. Speaker acquaint him with these Informations.

Army.

A Letter from Colonel Thomas Rainberow, from Cullum, of 1 Junii 1647, giving an Account of the Quarterings of his Regiment, and the Demeanors of some of his Soldiers, was this Day read.

Petition read.

A Petition, stiled, "The humble Petition of many Thousands of well-affected People," was this Day read.

The Question being put, Whether an Answer shall be given to this Petition at this present;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went forth.

So that the Question passed with the Negative.

Pardons from the King.

Ordered, That the Committee at Haberdashers Hall do bring the Book to the House concerning such as have received Pardons from the King; and make their Reports of those Matters on this Day Sevennight.

Forces for Ireland.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee for the Affairs of Ireland at Derby House shall have Power to give Warrant for a Month's Pay, to be issued and paid to those Forces, that are drawn off from the Army, and are engaged for Ireland: And that they do take care that their Quarters be paid according to the usual Proportions: And that the Committee of the Army do take care to send a Mustermaster down to them, that they may be paid upon Muster: The which Month's Pay is to be accounted as Part of their Pay, upon their Entertainment in the Service of Ireland.

Ordered, That Mr. Robinson, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordinance of Supply.

Ordered, That, To-morrow Morning, the first Business, Mr. Gott do make Report of the Amendments to the Ordinance for raising the Thirty thousand Pounds upon the Credit of the last Two hundred thousand Pounds; And that, immediately next after That Business, the Debate concerning the Army be resumed.

The Covenant.

Resolved, &c. That the Order that was appointed, concerning the taking the Covenant, for this Day, be adjourned till this Day Sevennight; and be then observed in the like manner it ought to have been this Day.

Soldiers Widows, &c.

A Petition, stiled, "The humble Petition of the Wives and Widows who have long attended this Honourable House for their Arrears, and whose Accompts remain in the Custody of the Committee of the Military Garden," was this Day read: And

It is Ordered, upon the Question, That Three thousand Pounds, Part of the Ten thousand Pounds, reserved by both Houses to be paid out of the Receipts at Goldsmiths Hall for the supply of indigent Persons, be forthwith paid by the Treasurers at Goldsmiths Hall to the Committee of the Military Garden; to be paid by the said Committee to the Petitioners, towards Satisfaction of the Arrears demandable by them, according to the Instructions lately passed both Houses for taking the Accompts of the Kingdom: And that an Acquittance under the Hand of the said Committee, or such as they shall appoint to receive the same, shall be a sufficient Warrant and Discharge to the Treasurers at Goldsmiths Hall for Payment of the said Sum of Three thousand Pounds, accordingly.
