Cirencester Election.

ORDERED. That, To-morrow Morning, the first Business, the Petition of the Inhabitants of the Borough of Circenster, concerning the Election there, be read.

London Petition.

Ordered, That, on Monday Morning next, after that the Reports concerning the Members of Tertio Caroli, and others, that Suffered, shall be made, and the Reports concerning Elections, the House do resume the Petition and Representation last delivered from the City of London, according to the former Order.

Reading Petition.

Ordered, That the Petition from the Inhabitants of the Town of Reading, be read on Saturday Morning next.

Oxford University.

An Ordinance for Visitation and Regulation of the University of Oxford, and of all Colleges and Halls there, was this Day read the First and Second time.

Resolved, &c. That no Member of either House shall be Visitor in this Ordinance mentioned.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to the Committee to take care to preserve the Right of the Chancellor of the University of Oxon, the Earl of Pembroke, so far-forth as it may not prejudice the Reformation intended by this Ordinance.

Resolved, &c. That it be referred to the Committee, to bring in Names of fit Persons to be Visitors of the University of Oxford.

The Committee are likewise to consider of the Oaths usually tendered in the University of Oxford.

Recorder of Oxford.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth declare, That the City of Oxon ought to proceed to the Election of a Recorder; the former Recorder being disabled as a Delinquent within the Propositions of both Kingdoms.

Church-Government:

Ordered, That on Wednesday next, the first Business, the House do take into Consideration the Reports concerning the Obstructions in the settling the Church-Government.

Message to Lords.

Mr. Nicoll carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Ordinance for Payment of the first Fifty thousand Pounds of the latter Two hundred thousand Pounds of the Four hundred thousand Pounds, to be paid to our Brethren of Scotland; and the Paper from the Commissioners of Scotland, concerning That Business; and likewise the Order for taking off the Sequestration of Mr. Francis Godolphin; and the Vote for nominating Mr. Marbury Deputy Lieutenant of the County of Chester.

Tredington Minister.

An Ordinance for settling and confirming Dr. Temple in the Parsonage of Tredington in the County of Worcester, was this Day read; and, upon the Question, committed unto Mr. Sallwey, Mr. Serjeant Wild, Mr. Nelthorp, Sir Henry Heyman, Mr. Knightley, Mr. White, Mr. Serjeant Cresheld, Mr. Samuel Browne, Sir Dudley North, Mr. Boys, Sir John Seymour, Colonel Norton, Mr. Jesson, Mr. Nathaniel Bacon, Mr. Nathaniel Fiennes, Mr. Prideaux, Mr. Grimston, Mr. Swinfen, Mr. Weaver, Mr. Wheeler, Mr. Purifoy, Sir William Strickland, Major Sallwey, Sir Thomas Widdrington, Mr. Vachell, Sir Robert Binlosse: And are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer-Court: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records.

Great Seal.

The House took into Consideration the Report made by Mr. Samuel Browne, on Wednesday last, concerning the Commissioners of the Great Seal of England.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Report from the Committee of Lords and Commons; and doth nominate and appoint Sir Thomas Bedding field to be one of the Commissioners of the Great Seal of England.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Report from the Committee of Lords and Commons; and doth nominate and appoint Challenor Chute Esquire to be one of the Commissioners of the Great Seal of England.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth nominate and appoint Sir John Bramston, Serjeant at Law, to be one of the Commissioners of the Great Seal of England.

Ordered, &c. That Mr. Prideaux do prepare and bring in an Ordinance, the first Business, To-morrow Morning, for appointing of Mr. Serjeant Bramston, Sir Thomas Bedding field, and Mr. Challenor Chute, or any Two of them, to be Commissioners for the Custody of the Great Seal of England, for One Year; with like Powers as were granted to the former Commissioners.

Answer from Lords:

Mr. Nicoll brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Ordinance for Mr. Godolphin's Indemnity; and to the Ordinance for payment of the Fifty thousand Pounds to the Scotts.

Love's, &c. Claims.

Ordered, &c. That the former Order of this House, of the Ninth of February One thousand Six hundred Fortyand five, for the Payment of the Sum of Three hundred Pounds unto Andrue Love, Donall Campbell, and James Marshall, in part of Satisfaction of a Debt due to them from the Parliament, for Provisions delivered by them in Ireland; and for giving them the Publick Faith for the Remainder of the said Debt due to them for the said Provisions; be discharged, revoked, and made void; and that, in full Payment and Satisfaction of the said Debt, and all Demands for or by reason of the same, the Sum of Six hundred Pounds be charged in Course, upon the Receipts of Monies arising and coming- in at Goldsmiths Hall, by Fines or Compositions with Delinquents: together with Interest for the said Six hundred Pounds, after the Rate of Eight Pounds per Cent. per Annum, from this Day, during the Forbearance thereof, or of any Part thereof: And that the said Six hundred Pounds, and Interest, as aforesaid, be paid to the said Andrew Love, Donald Campbell, and James Marshall, or their Assigns, whose Acquittance, together with this Order, shall be a good Discharge, from time to time, to the said Committee, and the Treasurers there, for the Payment to them of the said Six hundred Pounds, and Interest, and every Part thereof, accordingly.
