Army Commissions.

MR. Speaker, according to former Order, delivered Commissions, before the Sitting of the House, unto

Lieutenant-Colonel Styles, his Commission to be Lieutenant-Colonel of Colonel George Fleetwood's Regiment, and Captain of a Company in the same.

To Wm. Cake, his Commission to be Ensign of a Company in the said Regiment:

To Edward Bullock, his Commission to be Ensign of a Company in the said Regiment:

To Captain Arth. Challener, his Commission to be Captain of a Company in this Regiment:

To Captain Tho. Hay, his Commission to be Captain of a Company in this Regiment:

To Captain Benjamin Gifford, his Commission to be Captain of a Company in this Regiment:

To Captain Richard Boult, his Commission to be Captain of a Company in this Regiment:

To Lieutenant Richard Woodward, his Commission to be Lieutenant of that Company:

To Edward Atkinson, his Commission to be Surgeon to this Regiment:

To John Buck, his Commission to be Captain of a Company in Colonel Lenthall's Regiment:

To Captain Samuel Rose, his Commission to be Captain of a Company of Foot in the Isle of Manne.

And delivered to him the several Commissions following, to be delivered as followeth; viz.

To James Chaloner, his Commission to be Captain of a Company in the said Isle:

To Joseph Jones, his Commission to be Lieutenant of that Company:

To Henry Sprote, his Commission to be Lieutenant of the said Captain Rose his Company:

To Thomas Vinton, his Commission to be MasterGunner.

Prayers.

Assessments.

ORDERED, That Mr. Speaker do sign such Letters as shall be prepared by the Committee of the Army, in usual Form, to be sent to the Commissioners for Assessment in the respective Counties, for quickening the Bringing in of the Assessments.

Admiralty Judges.

Resolved, That Doctor Walker shall have One thousand Pounds a Year Salary, as one of the Judges of the Admiralty, and for Probate of Wills, and Granting of Administrations.

Resolved, That Doctor Turner shall have One thousand Pounds a Year Salary, as one of the Judges of the Admiralty, and for Probate of Wills, and Granting of Administrations.

Resolved, That William Cawley Esquire shall have Five hundred Pounds a Year Salary, as one of the Judges of the Admiralty, and for Probate of Wills, and Granting of Administrations.

Advances to the Publick.

Whereas Mr. Suckley, and other Gentlemen relating to the Court of Admiralty, and to the Court for Probate of Wills, and Granting of Administrations, have offered freely to advance the Sum of Three thousand Pounds, for the Service of the Commonwealth: It is Ordered, by the Parliament, That the said Three thousand Pounds be paid this Afternoon to the Treasurers of the Army; and shall be repaid, with Interest, out of the first Monies that shall come in, payable out of the said Court for Probate of Wills to this Commonwealth, to the Register or Receiver of the said Fees or Profits: And the same shall be allowed unto the said Register or Receiver, upon their Account: And the Acquittance of the said Mr. Suckley, and the said other Gentlemen, shall be their sufficient Discharge in that behalf.

Resolved, That all the rest of the Fees and Profits of the Court of Admiralty, and Probate of Wills, shall be answered to the Commonwealth as formerly.

Army Appointments.

Resolved, That Captain Davies be, and is approved of to be Captain of a Company of Foot in Colonel Lenthall's Regiment, in the room of Captain Saunders.

Ordered, That Captain Turner and Captain Hunt be re-committed to the Commissioners for the Army, for their further Consideration.

Tumults in London.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to examine the whole Business touching the Tumults which happened last Night in the City of London; and state Matter of Fact: And report their Opinion, What is fit to be done therein; and how to prevent the like Tumults for the future.

Army.

Ordered, That the several Regiments do go to the Quarters formerly directed by Parliament: and that they continue in those Quarters, until the Commissioners for the Army shall see Cause to alter the same.

Elections.

The House, according to former Order, resumed the Debate upon the Qualifications.

The First Paragraph of the Qualifications was read.

Resolved, That this Debate be adjourned until Tomorrow Morning, Eight of Clock.

Admiralty Judges.

Resolved, That the said Salaries, to be paid to the said Dr. Walker, Dr. Turner, and Wm. Cawley Esquire, as Judges of the said Courts of Admiralty, and Probate of Wills, shall be paid out of the growing Profits of the said Court for Probate of Wills, by the Register or Receiver thereof, yearly, by Four equal Payments: and the same shall be allowed unto such Register or Receiver, upon their respective Accounts: And the respective Acquittances of the said Judges shall be a sufficient Discharge in that behalf, without any further Order.
