Prayers.

Leave of Absense.

ORDERED, That the Lord Commissioner Lisle have Leave to go into the Country for a Fortnight.

Proclamation against Mordant, &c.

Ordered, That Serjeant Dendy do this Day proclaim the Proclamation against Mr. Mordant, and others, at the Places usual, and in usual Manner as Proclamations have been heretofore made by the Serjeant at Arms attending the Parliament.

Irish Adventurers.

The House did this Day proceed in the Amendments to the Bill for settling Lands upon the Adventurers and Soldiers in Ireland.

And one Clause was tendered to the said Bill, limiting a Time for Proof of Adventurers or Debts;

Which Clause was twice read.

The Question being put, That the Word "Honourable," in the First Line of the said Clause, next after the Word "doth," do stand;

It passed with the Negative.

And the said Clause, so amended, being put to the Question, was agreed unto; and ordered to be Part of the Bill.

Another Clause, formerly reported, and twice read, for confirming Lands settled on Anthony Edwards, and Thomas Whitcombe, and others, and their Heirs, in Satisfaction of Losses sustained by them, and others the Inhabitants of the City of Gloucester, was this Day again read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto; and ordered to be Part of the Bill.

Another Clause formerly reported, and twice read, for confirming Lands settled on Erasmus Smith and Henry Whalley Esquires, and their Heirs, to them and their Heirs, was, upon the Question, agreed unto; and ordered to be Part of the Bill.

A Proviso formerly reported, and twice read, That this Act shall not extend to confirm the Estate of Edward Dendy, and his Heirs, in Lands in the Barony of Slane in the County of East Meath in Ireland; but that he be left to a Tryal at Law; was again read.

The humble Petition of Edward Dendy was this Day read.

The Question being put, To agree to this Proviso;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went forth.

So it passed with the Negative.

Ordered, That it be referred back to the Committee to whom this Bill is referred, to consider, How the Adventurers, and Serjeant Dendy, may be satisfied; and report their Opinion therein to this House.

Resolved, That the Debate upon this Bill be adjourned until this Day Sevennight; and that the Committee do sit, in the mean time.
