Scotch Members:

THE House resumed the Debate concerning the Sitting of the Members returned for Scotland.

Resolved, &c. That this Debate be adjourned until Two of the Clock this Afternoon: And be then proceeded in; and that nothing else do then intervene.

This House adjourns itself until Two of the Clock this Afternoon.

Friday, the 18th of March, 1658; In the Afternoon

Scotch Members:

THE House proceeded in the Debate concerning the Sitting of the Members returned for Scotland.

The Question being put, That Candles be now brought in;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went forth.



Colonel Rosseter,	Tellers for the Yea:	187.
Mr. Annesley,	With the Yea,	187.
Mr. Brereton,	Tellers for the Noe:	160.
Sir Arthur Hesilrige,	With the Noe,	160.

So it was Resolved, &c. That Candles be now brought in.

The Question being put, That the Members returned for Scotland do withdraw;

The House was divided.

The Noes went forth.

But the Noes being withdrawn, the Question was yielded by the Yeas.

So it passed with the Negative.
