Prayers.
Revenue Accompts.
MR. Scawen reports from the Committee for Inspection into the Accompts and Revenue of the Commonwealth, That they should often have Occasion to send to the Commanders in Chief, both in Ireland and Scotland, for the Knowlege of the Forces in Pay under their Commands; and to others, concerning the Revenue of those Nations: And that the Committee did therefore desire, that their Dispatches, in reference to these Affairs, might be signed by Mr. Speaker.
Resolved, &c. That such Letters and Dispatches, as shall be prepared by the Committee for Inspection into the Accompts and Revenue of the Commonwealth, to be sent to the Commanders in Chief, in Ireland or Scotland, for the Knowlege of the Forces in Pay under their Commands respectively; or to any others, concerning the Revenue of those Nations; or otherwise in reference to the Affairs of the said Committee; shall be signed by Mr. Speaker from time to time, as the same shall be presented to him from the said Committee.
Petersfield Election.
Mr. Serjeant Waller reports from the Committee for Elections and Privileges, the State of the Case concerning the Election of Burgesses for the Borough of Petersfield in the County of Southampton: That the Freeholders of the said Borough claimed to have Right in the Election of Burgesses for the said Borough: That the Mayor of the said Borough had surreptitiously made an Election of Burgesses to serve for the said borough, without due Warning: And that it was the Opinion of the Committee, that the said Election was void.
Resolved, &c. That the Case concerning the Election of Burgesses for the Borough of Petersfield in the County of Southampton, this Day reported, be re-committed to the said Committee for Elections and Privileges, upon the Matter of the Debate now had thereof this Day in the House.
Constitution of Parliament.
According to the Order made Yesterday, the House took into Consideration the Constitution of the Parliament, as to Two Houses.
Resolved, &c. That it shall be Part of this Bill, to declare the Parliament to consist of Two Houses.
Resolved, &c. That the Bounds and Powers of another House, in relation to the former Vote, shall be taken into Consideration the first Business on Tuesday Morning next.
Leave of Absence.
Resolved, &c. That Sir Henry Lee have Leave to go into the Country.
Committee of Privileges.
Resolved, &c. That Sir Henry Vane be added to the Committee for Elections and Privileges.
