Waller's Claims.

A BILL for Settling, Establishing, and Confirming, of certain Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, in the County of Lymrick, and County of the City of Lymrick, in Ireland, on Sir Hardres Waller, and his Heirs, was this Day read the Third time; and, upon the Question, passed.

Ordered, That the Lord Protector's Consent be desired to this Bill.

Arthur's Claims.

Colonel Fitz-James reports Amendments to the Bill for the Satisfaction of Captain John Arthur, for divers Sums of Money disbursed by him for the Service of this Commonwealth, out of forfeited Lands, Houses, or Leases, in Ireland: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto.

Ordered, That this Bill, thus amended, be ingrossed.

Grant to Bastwick.

Mr. Gorges reports Amendments to the Bill for settling Lands in the County of Dublyn in Ireland upon Susanna Bastwick Widow, and the Four Children of Dr. John Bastwick deceased, and their Heirs, &c.: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto.

Ordered, That this Bill, thus amended, be ingrossed.

Buildings.

Resolved, That the Committee to whom the Bill touching Buildings is referred, do so pen the same, as that the Commissioners, and other Officers, thereby mentioned to be appointed, may be nominated by the Lord Protector, notwithstanding the former Order, authorizing that Committee to bring in Names for Commissioners to be inserted in that Bill.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill for Buildings is committed, have Power to fill up the Blanks in that Bill.

Assessment for Ireland.

A Bill for the Three Months Assessment in Ireland, for the Maintenance of the Spanish War, was this Day read the first time; and appointed to be read the Second time on Monday next.

Assessment for Scotland.

A Bill for Raising of Fifteen thousand Pounds in Scotland, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee for the Affairs of Scotland.

Resolved, That this House doth declare, That this Reference shall not, for the future, be taken as a Precedent for Bills of Assessments to be committed to a private Committee. This Committee are to meet on Monday in the Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Duchy-Court.

Tonage and Poundage.

A Bill for Continuing and Establishing of the Subsidy of Tonage and Poundage, was this Day read the Second time: and, upon the Question, committed.

Ordered, That this Bill be referred to a Committee of the whole House.

Resolved, That this House be resolved into a Committee of the whole House, upon this Bill, on Monday, at Ten of Clock.

Excise.

Resolved, That, on Tuesday next, the House be resolved into a Grand Committee, upon the Bill of Excise, at Ten of the Clock.

Treasuries.

Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, in order to the Raising of the Thirteen hundred thousand Pounds per Annum, to inspect the Treasuries of England, Scotland, and Ireland: Viz. to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, Mr. Secretary, Captain Blackwell, Mr. Bampfeild, Colonel Clerk, Sir James Mackdowell, Mr. Jenkinson, Colonel Harvey, Major Wagstaff, Sir Richard Onslow, Colonel Shapcott, Mr. Upton, Lord Broghill, Sir Tho. Privilege.

The House being acquainted, that Michaell Beavor, being apprehended for prosecuting Mr. Denne, was at the Door;

He was called in; and, kneeling at the Bar, and examined, saith, He began the Suit before Mr. Denne was a Member of the House: He saith, He did not prosecute it since; but took away the Writ from the Sheriff, and hath delivered it to Mr. Denn this Day, when he had the Consent of his Client; he durst not do it before. Mr. Denn saith, It was prosecuted since the Parliament.

Resolved, That the said Michaell Beavor be discharged, paying his Fees.

Door shut.

Resolved, That the Door be shut, till the Bill for transporting Fish in Foreign Bottoms be read.

Fish Trade.

A Bill, giving Licence for transporting Fish in Foreign Bottoms, was this Day read the Third time; and, upon the Question, passed.

Ordered, That the Lord Protector's Consent be desired to this Bill.
