Prayers.

Settling the Government.

THE House (according to former Order) was this Day resolved into a Committee of the whole House, upon the Government.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Hoskins was called to the Chair.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Hoskins reports, The Desire of the said Committee, That the House would give Leave, that the Committee may sit again To-morrow Morning.

Resolved, That the House be resolved into a Committee of the whole House To-morrow Morning, upon the Government, according to former Order.

Petitions.

Ordered, That the Petitions of the Lord Craven, Sir John Stowell; and the Petitions of the Tenants of Duresme; and the Petition of Mrs. Stone and her Son; be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning: And, to that end, Mr. Speaker is to take the Chair.

Prisoners and Creditors.

Ordered, That the Act for Relief of Prisoners and poor Creditors be brought in this Day Sevennight: And that the Committee to whom that Bill is referred, do sit de die in diem; notwithstanding the Sitting of the Grand Committee of the whole House.

Petitions.

Ordered, That the Earl of Salisburie's Petition be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning.

Ordered, That Mr. Gewin's Petition be likewise received in, and taken into Consideration, To-morrow Morning.

The humble Petition of Bryan Cockaine Esquire, and Elizabeth his Wife, was this Day read.
