Prayers.

Recognition of Government.

MR. Lechmere reports from the Committee to whom the Bill appointing a Recognition of the Governbe subscribed by Members of Parliament, Amendments to ment, to the said Bill: Which were twice read; and each Amendment put to the Question; some were agreed, and some denied; and the Bill re-committed to the same Committee: Who are to meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock in the Speaker's Chamber.

Caterlaugh, &c. Election.

Mr. Stephens reports from the Committee of Privileges, That there is a Petition against an Election for the Counties of Caterlaugh, Wexford, Queen's County, and Kilkenny, in Ireland; desiring the Direction of the House therein.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee of Privileges, to take into Consideration the Business touching the Election now reported; and to offer to the House, for their further Consideration, what the said Committee shall think fit to be done, for the Determination of that Business.

Settling the Government.

The House, according to former Order, was resolved into a Committee of the whole House, upon the Government.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Hoskins was called to the Chair.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Hoskins reports from the Committee, Their Desire, That the House would give Leave, that they may sit To-morrow Morning, on the Government, according to former Order.

Resolved, That this House be resolved into a Committee of the whole House To-morrow Morning, upon the Government, according to former Order.

Yarmouth Return amended.

Mr. Nathaniell Ashby, one of the Bailiffs of Yarmouth, according to the Summons, did this Day appear at the Bar; where the Clerk of the Commonwealth's Deputy did attend at the Bar; and, by Command of the House, did take off the Return made by the said Nathaniell Ashby, and the Free Burgesses in general, from the Writ: And the said Nathaniell Ashby did subscribe his Name, and set his Seal, to the Indenture returned by the other Bailiff, and the Aldermen, Burgesses, and Commonalty, in Common-Council assembled; whereby William Goff Esquire, and Thomas Dunne Gentleman, were returned to serve for the Borough of Great Yarmouth: And the Clerk of the Commonwealth's Deputy did, by Order of the House, cancel the other Indenture.

Leave of Absence.

Resolved, That Major Pochin, a Member of Parliament, have Leave, for a Month, to go into the Country.
