Wednesday, the 9th of November, 1653.

Earl of Huntingdon's Estate.

A BILL to enable Ferdinando Earl of Huntingdon to sell some Lands for Payment of his own Debts, and his Father's; and to restrain him from making Leases of other Lands to the Prejudice of his Issue; was this Day read the Second time.

The Question being put, That this Bill be ingrossed;

It passed in the Negative.

And the Bill was, upon the Question, passed.

Peyton's Estate.

Colonel Danvers reports from the Committee to whom the Bill to enable Robert Peyton Esquire, and Algernon Peyton his Brother, to make Sale of Part of their Lands to pay their Debts; That the Committee having taken the Act into Consideration; but find no Cause to make any Amendments to it.

And the Question being put, That this Bill be ingrossed;

It passed in the Negative.

And the Bill, upon the Question, passed.

Assessments.

The House this Day resumed the Debate upon the Bill for Assessments: And the Bill was, upon the Question, committed to the Committee of the Army.

Hospitals.

Resolved, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of the Business of Hospitals.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee for the Poor.

Sale of Forests.

Sir William Roberts reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for Sale of Forests was referred, Amendments to the said Bill: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, were agreed.

The Question being put, That these Words, "the exposing to Sale," in the last Line save one of the Fortyseventh Folio do stand;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, That these Words, "nor to the Forest in the Isle of Wight, or any Part thereof," be inserted before the Two last Words in the last Line of the Forty-seventh Folio.

The Question being put, That these Words, "Shoton, and Stowood," be inserted into this Bill;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went forth.

So it passed in the Negative.

Resolved, That the Number of the Trustees shall be Seven, and not above.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee that brought in these Amendments, to consider of the Names of the Trustees, and other Officers, to be named in this Bill; and present them to the House.

Resolved, That the Bill for the Earl of Derby be read To-morrow Morning.
