Longvile's Petition.

THE humble Petition of Sir Edward Longvile Baronet was this Day read,

Resolved, That this Petition be referred to the Committee of Prisoners, to state the Matter of Fact; and report it to the House.

Temple's Creditors.

A Paper, intituled, The Brief of the Case of Sir Richard Temple, Baronet, in relation to the Creditors of his Father, late deceased, was now read.

Resolved, That this Paper be likewise referred to the same Committee.

Hitcham's Charities.

A Bill, intituled, An Act for Settling and Confirming of the Manors of Framlingham and Saxtead, in the County of Suffolk, and the Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, thereunto belonging, devised by Sir Robert Hitcham Knight, and late Serjeant at Law, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee for the Poor: And they are to sit upon this in the Queen's Court, this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock: And the Committee have Power to send for Persons and Papers.

Publick Accompts.

A Bill, intituled, An Act for Accompts, and Clearing of publick Debts, and for discovering Frauds or Concealments of any thing due to the Commonwealth, was this Day read the Third time.

The Question being put, That Richard Wilcox do stand in the Bill;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, That there be some more added for Commissioners in this Bill.

Resolved, That the Name of Major William Bridges be inserted into this Bill for a Commissioner.

Resolved, That the Time for the Discovery of what did belong to the Bishops, Deans, and Chapters, &c. in this Bill, be, "the Year One thousand Six hundred Forty and Six."

A Clause was tendered to this Bill, in these Words; viz. "And be it further Enacted, That all Persons, to whom the Right of any Estate, Real or Personal, of any Delinquent, doth belong, or would have belonged, had there been no Cause of Forfeiture, nor any Disability of disposing in the Delinquent discovering the said Estate, and in whose Hands it is, to the Commissioners herein appointed, and offering to pay the Proportion by this Act appointed for Composition of such Estate, upon the Recovery thereof from any other possessing or detaining the same by wrongfull or defeazable Title, shall be aided by the Commissioners for Compositions for the Recovering of such Estate, and the Value thereof, by all such Ways as any Commissioners for Sequestration or Composition may or do use, for Recovering of any Estate belonging to the Commonwealth:" Which was read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, laid aside.

The Question being put, That the Word "Monthly" do stand in the Bill;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, That the Word "Monthly" be again inserted.

And the Bill, being so amended, was, upon the Question, passed.

Union with Scotland.

Resolved, That the Bill for the Union of Scotland be read on Tuesday next.

Publick Debts.

Resolved, That this Day Sevennight be appointed for receiving Reports from the Committee for publick Debts.

Mr. Wilcox.

Resolved, That the Business now in Debate in the House, touching Mr. Wilcox, be referred to the Committee for publick Debts, to examine the same; and report the Truth of the Business to the House.

Frederick's Petition.

The humble Petition of John Frederick of London, Merchant, was this Day read.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee for Inspections to consider hereof; and report their Opinion to the House.

Sale of Forests.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Committee who are to bring in the Bill for Sale of Forests, to consider of the Sum of Two thousand Pounds, desired to be doubled upon the Bill for Forests, being claimed by Dame Jane Leech, late Wife and Executrix of Sir Edward Leech, out of the Forest of Deane; and report their Opinion therein to the House.

E. of Clanrickard.

Ordered, That the Council of State be authorized and required to pay unto the Earl of Clanrickard, or his Assigns, the Sum of Six hundred Pounds, which by a Vote of Parliament of the 20th of September last, is to be paid to him presently, in Part of the Sum of Twelve hundred Pounds, by that Vote given unto the said Earl.
