Leave of Absence.

RESOLVED, That Captain Neast have Leave to go into the Country.

Resolved, That Mr. Phesant have Leave to go into the Country for a Month.

Resolved, That Colonel Kenrick have Leave for a Fortnight to go into the Country.

Relief of Creditors.

Mr. Anlaby reports further Amendments to the Bill for Relief of Creditors and poor Prisoners: Which were twice read: And several of the said Amendments were put to the Question; and agreed.

Resolved, That the Allowance for the Commissioners for London be Two-Pence in the Pound.-

The humble Petition of John Bartlett, Citizen and Stationer of London, was this Day read.-

A Clause was tendered to this Bill, in these Words: viz. "And it is Enacted, That all Persons that lie in Prison, or that have done any Wrong by Colour of ShipMoney or by Order of the Council Board, in the Time of the late King, whatever there hath been recovered, that their Lands and Estates shall be liable to satisfy the Persons wronged, with all Damage and Costs, although the same, or any Part thereof, hath been conveyed away to their Children, or any others, since the Wrongs done: Which was twice read.

Resolved, That this Bill be re-committed to the same Committee: And Mr. Sadler, Sir Anthony Ashley Cooper, Alderman Titchborne, Mr. Broughton, be added to this Committee, for this Purpose: And the Committee are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock in the usual Place.

Delinquents Estates.

Resolved, That a Bill be brought in for Sale of the Estates of such Persons as have been Delinquents since the 30th of January 1648; and that there be a Clause for allowing a Sixth Part to any who shall discover such Person.

Resolved, That it be referred to Mr. St. Nicholas, Mr. Sadler, Mr. Broughton, Mr. Squib, Colonel James, or any Two of them, to prepare a Bill to this Purpose: And to report the same to the House.

Excise.

Resolved, by the Parliament, That the Committee for Inspections of the Treasuries be authorized to give Order to the Commissioners of Excise, to farm out the Excise of such Counties of England and Wales, as to the said Committee shall appear to be most advantageous for the Commonwealth, and the Ease of the People; to commence the 29th Day of this present September, and continue till the 25th of December next; so as the same be not at a less Rate than the Excise of such County was farmed at the last Year.

Scotch Affairs.

Colonel Thomlinson reports from the Council of State, Seven Papers presented to the Council, by Mr. Wm. Thompson, and Mr. Gilbert Mabbott, on Behalf of the City of Edenburgh, and Town of Lieth, in Scotland.

Resolved, That these Papers be referred to the Committee for Scotland.

Irish Adventurers.

Resolved, That the Bill for Ireland be read the first Business To-morrow Morning.
