Tuesday, the 25th of January, 1652.

Prayers.

Goods at Vauxhall.

ORDERED, That the Trustees for Sale of the late King's Goods, be, and are hereby required and enjoined to stop their Proceedings in taking away any the Goods or Utensils at Vaux-hall: And that they do forthwith return and bring back such Goods, Utensils, and other things as they have caused to be taken from Vaux-hall.

Dean and Chapters Lands.

Ordered, That the Act for Confirmation of the Sale of Bishops Lands, Dean and Chapters Lands, and the Lands of the late King, Queen, and Prince, be reported on this Day Sevennight, the first Business.

Claims on Publick Faith.

An Act for the better ascertaining of the Monies due upon the Publick Faith, was this Day read the First time; and it is ordered to be read the Second time, on Thursday Morning next.

Invalid Soldiers.

Ordered, That an Act be brought in on Friday Morning next, for the better Regulating of the Business for Relief of maimed Soldiers, in regard of Defects in former Acts and Ordinances: And that the Committee for maimed Soldiers do prepare and bring in an Act, accordingly.

Spanish Embassy.

Ordered, That Colonel Sidney do make the Report concerning the Spanish Ambassador, on Thursday Morning next, the first Business: And that the Letters from foreign States and Princes be then also read.

Navy.

Major Salwey reports from the Committee of the Admiralty;

THAT it be reported to the Parliament, That the Committee for the Navy be authorized to give Warrant unto the Treasurer of the Navy, for the Payment of all such Monies are are, or shall be, due for Stores and Ammunition belonging to the Navy, already contracted for by the Officers of the Ordnance, or that shall be contracted for, as aforesaid, before the 1st Day of April next.

That it be referred to the Council of State, to consider whether so much of the Office of the Ordnance as relates to the Navy, may be fit to be placed in the Commissioners of the Navy; with Power to give Order therein, accordingly, for putting the same in Execution, in such Manner, and at such Time, as they shall find to be best for the Service.

That it be referred to the Council of State, by all Ways and Means, as they shall find the Good of the Service to require, to give their Orders for the speedy Supply of Men for the Manning out of the Fleets at Sea..

Sale of late King's Property.

Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of the Proceedings of the Trustees for the Sale of the Goods of the late King, Queen, and Prince; and to hear any Complaints concerning their Proceedings; and report the same to the House, with Power to stop their Proceedings in such Cases as they shall find Cause: And to send for Persons, Papers, Witnesses, Records: Viz. Unto Mr. Lechmere, Mr. Hussy, Sir Tho. Wroth, Mr. Trenchard, Sir Henry Vane, Mr. Oldisworth, Earl of Salisbury, Mr. Browne, Mr. Marten, Mr. Scott, Sir John Trevor, Sir Wm. Allanson, Sir Wm. Masham, Mr. Darley, Mr. Millington, Mr. Say, Mr. Hallowes, Colonel Dove, Sir John Danvers, Sir John Hippisley, Mr. Garland, Colonel Sidney, Lord Monson, Mr. Mackworth, Mr. Raleygh, Mr. Westrow, Mr. Aildworth, Mr. Stephens, Colonel Lister, Sir Henry Mildmay, Colonel Bossevile, Lord Grey, Colonel Ingoldsby, Colonel Pyne, Sir Peter Wentworth, Mr. Edwards, Mr. James Challoner, Mr. Cawley, Sir Arthure Hesilrig, Mr. Corbett, Mr. Anlaby, or any Five of them: And this Committee are to meet To-morrow in the Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Inner Court of Wards, and so de die in diem: And Mr. John Corbett is to take Care of it.

Ordered, That the same Committee have Power to examine the Business touching the Charge of Corruption against Mr. Beauchampt, Clerk to the Trustees for Sale of the late King's Goods: And that Sir Arthure Hesilrig do transmit to that Committee any Papers that he hath, touching that Business: And the Committee to make Report to the House.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee, to examine the Information now given to the House, touching Mr. Tandy, about taking any Money more than is allowed by the Parliament.

Ordered, That it be likewise referred to the same Committee, to examine the Abuses and Misdemeanors of any Trustees, Contractors, or other Officers or Clerks, to any Committees of Parliament, or any other under the Parliament, in taking any Bribes, Rewards, or Fees, not allowed unto them; and to report the same to the House.
