Bedfordshire Petition.

ORDERED, That the Lord Grey do receive the Petition of Bedfordshire, and present it to the House, in some convenient time.

The House resumed the Debate upon the List returned by the Commissioners for compounding, of Persons sequestered for Omissions or Undervaluations.

Ditto.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Commissioners at Goldsmiths-hall, to admit Humfrey Forrest of Chester, Robert Farmery of Lincoln, Sir Michael Wharton of Yorkshire, Knight, and Arthure Awdbrough of Ellingthorpe in the County of York, to their Composition, at a full third Part of their Omissions and Undervaluations.

The next is, Persons certified to be upon their Appeal.

Robert Harbin, of Yeavill in the County of Somersett, Esquire; Edward Hoblin, of Cornwall, Gentleman; Thomas Poole, of, in the County of Chester; Richard Newhowse, of Durham, Gentleman; Edward Ellis, of Guildsfeild in the County of Mountgomery; Robert Prowse, of Yeavill in the County of Somersett; George Browne, of Shelford in the County of Berks.

Resolved, That the Commissioners for compounding have the same Power to hear and determine the Appeals of the said Robert Harbin, Edward Hoblin, Thomas Poole, Richard Newhowse, Edward Ellis, Robert Prous, and George Browne, as the Barons of the Exchequer had: And that it be referred to them to hear and determine the Cases of the said several Persons accordingly.

The House proceeded to consider of the Persons certified under this Title; viz.

Persons whose Cases are depending before the Commissioners for compounding; viz.

Ralph Adderly, of Chester; Duke of Richmond; and John Noble, of Lincoln; Thomas Deffel, of Worcester; Thomas Swingfield, Com' Wiltes; Earl of Shrewsbury, Robert Vaughan, John Lockier, Com' Somersett; Wm. Blakeston, of Archdecon; Newton, Duresme.

Delinquents.

Ordered, That the Cases of the said Ralph Adderley, the Duke of Richmond, John Noble, Thomas Deffell, Thomas Swingfield, the Earl of Shrewsbury, Robert Vaughan, John Lockier, and Wm. Blakeston, be referred back to the said Commissioners for Compounding, to proceed to determine their Cases, according to the former Powers of the said Commissioners; and that they do hasten the same.

The House proceeded upon the said List, to the Persons under the next Title; viz.

A Certificate of the Commissioners for Compounding in the Case of Sir John Thimbleby, was this Day read.

Resolved, That the Name of Sir John Thimbleby, of in the County of Lincoln, be inserted into this Bill.

Resolved, That the Name of William Brand be inserted into this Bill.

A Certificate from the Commissioners for Compound ing, in the Case of Wm. Cobbe, of Sandringham in the County of Norfolk, Esquire, was this Day read.

A Certificate of Sir Valentine Pell, and Gregory Gawsell Esquire, on the Behalf of Wm. Cobbe, of Sandringham, was this Day read.

The Question being put, That the Name of Wm. Cobbe, of Sandringham, in the County of Norfolk, Esquire, be inserted into this Bill;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, That the Sequestration of Wm. Cobbe, of Sandringham in the County of Norfolk, Esquire, be discharged.

The Question being put, That the Name of Robert Miller, of Dorsett, be inserted into this Bill;

It passed with the Negative.

Ordered, That the former Reference to the Commissioners for Compounding, touching the said Robert Miller, be continued; and that the said Commissioners be also again authorized to hear and determine the same.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Commissioners for Compounding, forthwith to levy the Money due upon the Fine imposed upon Sir Richard Gurney, by Order of Parliament.

Resolved, That the Name of Henry Fernes, late of Wadderswick in the County of be inserted into this Bill.

The humble Petition of Sir John Packington Baronet was this Day read.

The Question being propounded, That the Name of Sir John Packington Baronet be inserted into this Bill;

And the Question being put, that that Question be now put;

The House was divided.

The Noes went forth.

So it passed with the Negative.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Commissioners for Compounding, and that they be required, with all convenient Speed, to certify to the Parliament, the true State of the Case before them, touching Sir John Packington, together with the Proofs, and their Proceedings therein, and the Judgment given by them thereupon.

Ordered, That the Commissioners for Compounding be required to certify to the Parliament, the State of the Case of Colonel Boothby, together with the Proofs, and the Judgment by them given thereupon, with all convenient Speed.
