Prayers.

Delinquents Estates.

THE humble Petition of the Commissioners for Compounding was this Day read; together with several Proposals annexed, subscribed by the said Commissioners.

Ordered, That this Petition and Proposals be referred to the Committee, to whom the Bill for Sale of Delinquents Estates is referred, to consider of them, and confer with the Commissioners for Compounding concerning the said Proposals; and prepare something to be tendered to the Parliament for their Consideration therein; and report the same to the House.

Letters read.

A Letter, from Henry Appleboone, to Sir Oliver Fleming, from the Hague, of the 6/16; September 1652; and also a Letter from Sir Oliver Fleming; was also read.

A Letter from the Queen of Sweden, from Stockholme, of the 7th of August 1652, was this Day read.

A Letter from Hamborow of the 31th of August 1652, from Richard Braashaw, was this Day read.

A Letter from Frederick King of Denmark, dated at his Casle of Haffine, of 21th of August 1652, was this Day read.

Provisioning Places.

A Letter from Major General Richard Deane, from Dalketh, of the 4th of September 1652, was this Day read.

Ordered, That this Letter be referred to the Council of State, to take it into Consideration; and take effectual Care for a speedy Supply of Provisions and all Necessaries for the Safety of the Places therein mentioned; and likewise that they do, on Tuesday Morning next, make their Report upon the former Order of Reference to them, touching a Place for the Commissioners from Scotland to meet, and the Names of Persons to meet with them, and of Instructions to be given to those Persons.

Forseited Estates.

Mr. Garland reports Amendments to the Bill for Sale of several Lands and Estates forfeited to the Commonwealth for Treason: Which were twice read.

Resolved, That the Clause in the Amendments to this Bill, touching the forfeiting of Estates, in Cases where the Traitor or Traitors could have revoked the same by Deed, be re-committed.

Resolved, That the Time for Payment in of the First Moiety, by way of Composition, be Threescore Days.

The House, according to former Order, adjourned itself to Tuesday Morning next, Eight of Clock.
