A LETTER from the Lord General, dated the 5th of June 1652, was this Day read.

Surrender of Dunnotter Castle.

A Letter from Colonel Thomas Morgan, dated at Dunnotter Castle, 26 Maii 1652; with a Copy of a Letter from the Governor of the said Castle; together with Articles for the Surrender of the said Castle; were this Day read.

Resolved, That the Parliament doth approve of these Articles.

Transactions with Holland.

Sir Henry Vane junior reports from the Council of State, a Draught, or Paper, intituled "The Answer of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of England to Three Papers, delivered in to the Council of State by the Lords Extraordinary Ambassadors of the United Provences; The First whereof is dated the 3d of June; the Second the 6th of June; and the Third the 13th of June 1652, New Stile; upon Occasion of the late Fight between the Fleets:" As also, "A true Relation of the late Engagement between the English Fleet, under the Command of General Blake, and the Holland Fleet, under the Command of Lieutenant-Admiral Trompe, near Dover."

A Letter from Major Bourne; dated 29 Maii 1652.

Which were all read.

The Question being put, That the latter Part of Major Bourne's Letter, beginning at the Fifteenth Line of the last Page, do stand;

It passed with the Negative.

The said Relation, being read again, after some Amendments at the Table, was, upon the Question, passed.

The Answer was likewise read in Parts: And each Part, after some Amendments at the Table, being put to the Question, were agreed: And the whole Answer so amended, was, upon the Question, passed.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Council of State, to send this Answer and Narrative, with the several Papers therewith now reported, to the Lords Ambassadors Extraordinary from the States General of the United Provinces.

Resolved, That this Answer, Narrative, and Papers, reported, be printed and published, at such time as the Council of State shall order.

Resolved, That it be left to the Council of State, to do, concerning the Guards of the Lords Ambassadors Extraordinary of the States General of the United Provinces, as they shall think fit.

Resolved, That it be referred to the Council of State, to send down a Copy of this Answer and Narrative to the Fleet.
