Planting Tobacco.
COLONEL Thompson reports Amendments to the Act prohibiting the Planting of Tobacco in England: Which were this Day read the First and Second time; and upon the Question, assented unto.
The Question being put, That this Act be ingrossed;
It passed in the Negative.
The Question being put, that this Act pass as a Law;
The House was divided.
The Yeas went forth.

Resolved, That the Jurisdiction of the Duchy and County Palatine of Lancaster be continued for Six Months longer: And that an Act be brought in for Continuance thereof, accordingly.
An Act for continuing of John Bradshaw, Serjeant at Law, Chancellor of the Duchy and County Palatine of Lancaster; and Bartholomew Hall Esquire, Attorney General of the Duchy and County Palatine of Lancaster, and the Jurisdiction of the said Duchy and County Palatine of Lancaster; was this Day read the First and Second time.
Resolved, That the Time for Continuance of this Act be the First of January 1652.
And the said Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed: And it is
Ordered, That the said Act be forthwith printed and published.
Obstruction to Sale of King's Lands.
Mr. Wm. Stevens reports Amendments to the Bill for transferring the Powers now in the several Committees for removing Obstructions, in other Persons: Which were this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, assented unto.
Resolved, That Josiah Barners Esquire, be one of the Commissioners in this Bill.
Resolved, That Frances Mussenden Esquire be one of the Commissioners in this Bill.
The Question being propounded, That Sir Wm. Roberts Knight be one of the Commissioners in this Bill:

A Clause was offered to the said Act in these Words; viz. "And the said Commissioners, and every of them, are enjoined and required, at or before the Tenth Day of April 1652, to take the Oath, hereafter expressed, before the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal, or any Two of them; who are hereby authorized and required to administer the same in these Words; that is to say,
I A. B. do swear, That I will, according to my best Skill and Knowledge, faithfully discharge the Trust committed unto me, in Relation to an Act, intituled, An Act for transferring the Powers of the Committee for Obstructions; and that I will not, for Favour of Affection, Rewards or Gifts, or Hopes of Rewards or Gifts, break the same."
Which was this Day read; and, upon the Question, assented unto; and ordered to be Part of the Bill.
The Question being put, That the Proviso in this Act stand;
It passed with the Negative.
And the Question being put, That this Act be ingrossed;
It passed with the Negative.
And the said Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed: And it is
Ordered, That the said Act be forthwith printed and published.

Resolved, That the Business touching the Petition of the Lord Wharton and his Lady, and the Narrative of their Case, formerly referred to the Committee of Obstructions for Sale of Lands and Estates forfeited to the Commonwealth for Treason, be referred to the Commissioners for removing Obstructions; with the same Powers as was formerly given to the said Committee.
